On the night of September 30, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched new wave of strikes in Ukrainian rear regions. According to Ukrainian monitoring sources, September was the only month when Russian Geran kamikaze UAVs entered Ukrainian airspace every day since the beginning of the Russian Special Military Operation.
Today, Russian forces launched kamikaze drones, Iskander missile complexes, Kh-31 anti-radar missiles and upgraded FAB heavy bombs during the night strikes.
The Air Defense Forces of Ukraine had a busy night but failed to repel the attack. Explosions thundered in Odessa, Mykolaiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhitomir, Kharkiv, Sumy, Vinnitsa, Zaporozhie, Cherkassy regions. The capital of Ukraine Kiev and its region came under massive attack.
One of the most successful strikes was launched in Mykolaiv region. Russian Iskander missile system struck the railway station in the village of Kazanka. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the attack. According to the official report, as a result of the precision strike, 12 military wagons full of ammunition were destroyed. The destroyed cargo included 60–mm high–explosive mortar rounds, 80–mm C–8 aircraft unguided missiles and 122–mm artillery shells, which were supplied by the Czech Republic to the Ukrainian military. The total amount of the transported ammunition was about 3,000 units.
Russian reconnaissance UAV coordinated the strike and the footage confirmed the damage:
Russian kamikaze UAVs struck the military airfield of the 39th Brigade of the tactical aviation of the Ukrainian Air Force located near the village of Ozernoe in Zhitomir region. As a result of the attack, Ukrainian Su-27 was damage, as well some airfield equipment.
Another Russian strike was recorder in the village of Bazaryanka in southern Odessa region. Russian Kh-31P missile destroyed the French-made ControlMaster 200 radar station hidden by the Ukrainian military on the territory of the local farm.
At night, Ukrainian air defense forces were very active in the city of Kiev. Despite their efforts to repel the attacks, Russian strikes were reported in the capital and on its outskirts. according to unconfirmed reports Russian forces struck military warehouse near Borispil airfield and the local CHP-6 came under attack.
During the day, Russian forces continued strikes on the Ukrainian military in the tactical rear areas. Russian monitoring sources revealed that as a result of a series of Russian precision strikes several points of temporary deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the town of Svyatogorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. As always, the Ukrainian military command tried to hide the military personnel in civilian facilities but they were revealed by Russian reconnaissance. In particular today, the following civilian facilities came under Russian attacks:

- Miner boarding guest house;
- Marmelade boarding guest house.
According to preliminary reports, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost about 30 servicemen killed in the attack.

The effectiveness of Russian strikes in Ukrainian rear areas remains high. Despite the multi billion aid from NATO and ongoing military supplies, Ukrainian air defense fails to protect military and industrial facilities from Russian strikes.
