On the night of October 18th, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched another wave of strikes on Ukrainian rear facilities throughout the country. According to the Ukrainian military, the country came under one of the most massive attack of Russian drones.

According to the official report by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian air defense allegedly intercepted 80 Russian UAVs out of 135 drones. The Ukrainian military command claimed that two UAVs flew back to the territory of Belarus. At the time of publication of the report, a dozen Russian drones were reportedly flying over the central regions of Ukraine.

The official reports of Ukrainian military officials rarely correspond to reality. The scale of the revealed damage caused by Russian night attack is much larger than reported by the Ukrainian side.

Ukrainian military monitoring sources and local media confirmed explosions throughout the country, including in the western regions. Russian forces launched both Geran-2 kamikaze UAVs and Kh-59 guided missiles.

Explosions thundered in the Kiev, Odessa, Sumy, Zhitomir, Rivne, Volyn, Poltava, Cherkassy, Khmelnitsk, Vinnitsa, Kherson, Kharkiv, Kirovograd regions as well as in the area under Ukrainian control in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Numerous Russian strikes were confirmed.

The main target of the night attack were Ukrainian military airfields across the country, where military hangars, warehouses and workshops were destroyed, together with Ukrainian aircraft and military equipment from NATO countries.

At least seven Ukrainian airfields came under attacks.

Hangars with combat UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed on the territory of a military airfield located near the town of Ahtyrka in the border Sumy region. According to Russian military monitoring sources, up to 50 drones of various types were destroyed as a result of the attack.

Two Su-27 of the Air Force of Ukraine were damaged as a result of Russian strikes on a military airfield in Ozernoe in Zhitomir region. The airfield is a home base of the 39th brigade of tactical aviation.

Russian forces struck the Dubno military airfield in the Western Rivne region. The airfield hosted F-16 fighters recently supplied by NATO. According to Russian monitoring sources, the attack resulted in damage to the complex of Western navigation systems which included TACAN (Tactical Air Navigation), ILS (Instrument Landing System) and GPS navigation equipment. These systems played a key role in supporting the operations of the F-16 aircraft in Ukraine.

Workshops with combat UAVs supplied by Poland were completely destroyed as a result of Russian  precision strikes on military airfield in Blagodatnoe in Volyn region.

The Mirgorod military airfield in the Poltava region that is targeted by Russian strikes on a regular basis came under another attack. As a result, a training center used by pilots of the Air Force of Ukraine was damaged.

Russian strikes hit the Vapnyarka military airfield located in the Vinnitsa region. Workshops for the maintenance of aviation equipment built by the US and the Netherlands came under Russian attack. There were reportedly systems deployed at the workshops necessary for setting up TACAN navigation systems, GPS testing, calibration of ILS landing systems and mobile stations for their deployment with F-16 aircraft.

Last night, Russian strikes did not miss the notorious Starokonstantinov military airfield in the Khmelnitsk region. They reportedly slightly damaged the German-made Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft gun aimed at intercepting the low-flying targets like UAVs but which failed to destroy Russian drones last night.

In the border Sumy region, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine accumulate large reserves for military operations in the Russian Kursk region, Russian missile strikes destroyed a large warehouse of the 92nd separate assault brigade of the AFU hidden near the village of Zhuravka. According to local reports, the precision strike destroyed the military warehouse, up to 6 military vehicles and about a platoon of Ukrainian forces.

More damage to Ukrainian rear infrastructure was caused by Russian strikes in the Cherkassy region, where the Smela-110 energy substation was struck. As a result of the attack, operation of the key infrastructure facilities, including those that provide for the needs of the Ukrainian military, was disrupted.

In the morning, Russian missile struck a train shed in the town of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Ukrainian forces used the facility for repair of military vehicles.

At least one Russian strike was confirmed in the city of Kherson which is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The local residents confirmed explosions in the city and complained that no sirens were heard before the attack.

A series of explosions thundered in the Ukrainian capital which came under Russian strikes for the second night in a row. Any details about the damage in the city were not revealed. The local authorities declared that the air defense forces destroyed all the targets on the outskirts of Kiev.

The massive Russian wave of strikes on Ukrainian military airfields throughout the country were likely a response to the attempt of the Ukrainian military to attack the Crimean peninsula the day before.

The attack on the Russian peninsula was launched by several aircraft of the Air Force of Ukraine that took off from different airfields. When four Su-24M tactiсal bombers took off from the Starokonstantinov airfield in the Khmelnitsk region, Ukrainian MiG-29 and Su-27 were spotted taking off from the airfields in Uman, Dolgintsevo, Mirgorod and Kanatovo located in the central Ukrainian regions. They launched ADM-160 MALD decoy missiles in an attempt to cover up the operations of the tactical bombers. In total, Russian air defense reportedly intercepted and destroyed at least eight missiles that targeted the eastern coast of the Crimean peninsula. No damage was reported as a result of the attack.

The Kiev regime is threatened with strategic defeats on the battlefields and the Ukrainian army is losing hope to take back control of at least some of the lost territories. As always, in an attempt to gain some political and media victories, Kiev attempts strikes on Crimea. The cherished dream of the Kiev regime is to destroy the Crimean Bridge which is an important symbol of the modern Russia and Russian Crimea. Despite the fact that the bridge is not used by the Russian military and most of the military supplies to the frontlines are provided through the new Russian regions, where Russians are rapidly restoring all the necessary infrastructure, including roads and railways, the  doomed Kiev regime continues wasting expansive NATO missiles in provocations aimed to save the name of Zelensky in the MSM.

putin wants this war long to exhaust nato economically, these people are all sick. when it comes to global dominance, all of the rational thinking steps aside. it will end with strategic nuclear exchange anyway. ukraine will be the first to be wiped from the earth.

assad defeated zionists

a perfect storm is converging on ukraine. the energy grid is collapsing just in time for an unsusually cold winter, nato weapons are getting destroyed in large numbers before they even get unloaded, many eu countries won’t provide weapons anymore, n.korean troops will enter the war, ukraine’s manpower has now hit rockbottom, the kursk salient will soon be finished & most importantly, trump who calls zelensky a loser is now ahead in national & swing state polls
