Syrian government forces are developing their operation against ISIS in southern Damascus.
Following the liberation of the southern part of the al-Hajar al-Aswad district in southern Damascus on May 5, the Syrian Arab Army and its allies started storming the northern part of al-Hajar al-Aswad where they captured the Jerusalem School and a local power station.
Separately, clashes continued in the district of at-Taqaddom, but government forces have not been able to achieve any breaktrough in the area so far.
According to local sources, Syrian Air Force aircraft have carried about 50 strikes on ISIS positions in al-Hajar al-Aswad, at-Taqaddom and the Yarmouk Refugee Camp.
Currently, the Syrian Army and its allies are seeking to re-establsih a full control of the al-Hajar al-Aswad district. Once this is done, the Syrina military will focus on crushing ISIS’ defense in the Yarmouk refugee camp and at-Taqaddom.

SAA will pretty much wipe out this group. And bus out some remnants to the E Homs desert? To be destroyed again. The caliphate is dead. :)
why hasn’t the militants east of Isis evacuated yet? Didn’t they agree to evacuate two weeks ago? We all know they are aiding Isis.
U need just read next article and u Will get answer on your question
So the map is incorrect is it ?, I am sure that yesterday the smallest blob (the most Southern) was under control of the SAA and as Xanatos inferred the militants had moved out in the East blob 2-4 days ago. Allegedly there was a delay in the transportation out, but according to numerous sources it still happened roughly on time.
You see the above doesn’t quite confer with the following – https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/syrian-army-tank-troops-storm-last-isis-positions-in-southern-damascus-video/
To be fair to SF, they are frequently a couple of days behind the initial reports of anything happening. That said, a consequence of this is that more often than not SF is more accurate.
No worries at all with SF, up in my 2-3 best favourites.
PS Oh sorry – “next article”….got it now, apologies.

The SAA and company have made huge gains in the last 24 hours. There’s almost nothing left under Isis control. This area was a repository for some of the worst war criminals of the entire conflict. Hopefully they’l be captured and prosecuted. Click on the image for an expanded view.

You wrote prosecutions. Only Summary Executions for these Rats
Trouble with summary executions is where do you stop? It is better to have a process, even a martial law sentencing is sufficient.
Hope there will be no reconcilation agreements, tourism to Idlib, and so on…
What is the point of digging all these tunnels if one is simply going to abandon them?
A tunnel is useless without food and water.
