On the night of December 12th, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched another wave of drone strikes in Russian rear regions and managed to inflict some damage.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in total, 16 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by russian air defense during the night. They include:
- 4 over the Kursk region
- 1 over the Chechen Republic
- 3 over the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania
- 8 over the Republic of Crimea.
The attacks were repelled in most regions. One of the targets was the Crimean peninsula, where the Ukrainian military is probing Russian defense with repeated combined attacks in recent days. At night, Ukrainian drones targeted the western coast, where the city of Sevastopol is located. The drones were launched in several waves. The strikes were repelled. Some of the UAVs were shot doen, some were destroyed by the air defense systems and aircraft of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The drones were destroyed in different areas, including near the Tarkhankut, Fiolent and Chersonesos Capes. Several UAVs were destroyed near the local Balaklavskaya TPP.
The exact type of the drones was not revealed. On December 11th, the first Ukrainian so-called missile-UAV Peklo that was recently presented by the Ukrainian military was reportedly spotted over the waters of the Black Sea. It was launched from the Odessa region and shot down by Russian MiG-29 more than 100 km away from the Crimean coast. Zelensky was very proud of the new Ukrainian invention which fastly showed its ineffectiveness. It is not excluded that the Peklo UAVs could be used in today’s strikes.
Another target of today’s Ukrainian attacks was the city of Grozny in the Chechen Republic, where Ukrainian UAV was reportedly destroyed right over the building of the special police regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Head of the Republic Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed the attack and confirmed that 4 soldiers were slightly injured.
REfusing negotiations with Moscow, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are looking for escalation. The day before Ukrainian forces launched another attack with the US-made ATACMS missiles on the military airfield in Taganrog. LINK The ongoing drone strikes in Crimea are also a clear sign of an upcoming massive attack, including with Western missiles that were previously destroyed by Russian air defense forces in Crimea.
it looks like ukranian tech and drones are superior in quality. the booms from the ukranian drones are more powerful and more find target accurately than the russian drones and booms. where is oreshnik, oh they are still under development russ better consider peace and witdrawal from ukr otherwise a disaster awaits.
de que exército e logista vc está falando, parece que estão querendo só receber o troco o k2 que estão usando.
the homeless and unemployed in the nato countries are very proud of the drones and marvel at their government’s unwavering support of the super rich at their expense.
russia shouldn’t tolerate nato being safe from the attrition. nato would not know who was launching drone strikes and would be afraid of accusing russia if it was sending them against nato supplies/hqs
