The ruling conservatives win the general elections but will need to form a coalition.
According to the exit poll results, no party has taken the majority of the votes in Spain’s general elections. The ruling conservative party Partido Popular wins between 114 and 118 seats. Big gains were made by the new anti-austerity party Podemos and the liberals from Cuidadanos.
Would these elections result in deeper political and economic crisis for Spain is yet to be seen.
