On October 18, several videos documenting some of the Russian military’s recent operations against Kiev forces surfaced online.
Ten of the videos show dozens of attacks with FPV suicide drones, grenade-dropping drones, Lancet loitering munitions, and interceptor drones that targeted Ukrainian troops, posts and equipment, across several directions within the special military operation zone over the last few days.
Notably, most of the Lancet strikes targeted engineering vehicles of Kiev forces which were in the process of building fortifications.
Another video shows an attack with at least two Iskander-M tactical ballistic missiles that destroyed an American-made MIM-104 Patriot long-range air defense system made out of a fire control radar, a command vehicle and at least one missile launcher. The system was deployed near the settlement of Pavlograd in the Dnipropetrovsk direction.
Four other videos show airstrikes with UMPK-equipped guided glide bombs that hit targets in Dnipropetrovsk, as well as in the directions of Zaporozhye and Kharkiv.
Two of the airstrikes targeted bridges used by Kiev forces in Dnipropetrovsk: one near the settlement of Pokrovske and another between the settlements of Dobropasovo and Kolomiytsy.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced in its daily briefing that missile, drone and artillery strikes hit “transport infrastructure, Ukrainian military industry enterprises that support the actions of the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine), a training centre for drone operators of then Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) production and assembly workshop, the AFU air defence radar station, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations in 156 areas” in the last 24 hours.
The ministry also said that Russian air defenses shot down four guided aerial bombs, six American-made HIMARS projectiles, and 140 fixed-wing drones during the same period.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 90,877 drones, 632 air defense systems, 25,557 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,602 multiple rocket launchers, 30,564 artillery pieces, and 44,265 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
