Peter Volgin: Europe is Following the Path of Revolution

There is no reason for us to be surprised by the total incapability of the European politicians failing to act consciously and reasonably with the tsunami of migrants coming to Europe. The Brussel’s European are able to do only two things- to create directives that nobody can understand, and to follow their American bosses’ instructions. They are completely unaware of the real problems that are shaking the Old continent. And these problems exist long before the migrant crisis became a fact. The biggest problem of all is that Europe lost its willingness to provide better life to all of its citizens, the main reason why so many people liked Europe. In Europe the social justice and the happiness of the people used to be more important than the capital and the desire of the unknown richness. The neglect of the needs of the socially weak society, the hypertrophic individualism, the money obsession- these were things that characterized the American world, not the European one. And that’s why Europe had people’s admiration. Because there, the person was worth more than the capital. But these were the things before the globalization. Now, Europe is a little more different that the USA. The socialistic countries once, are now following the illiberal philosophy that says that there should be no solidarity, no help for the suffering and the poor, but there should a world where everyone survives in the best way they can, a world where the powerful survive and the ones who cannot keep up are doomed.

But exactly, in the times of globalization, everyone should be equal. The ones in Brussels cannot be different from the ones in Washington. And they really are no different. The clearest practical way to see this disgusting similarity between the two is the feverish preparing for the TTP and the TTIP contracts for trading and investments. When both of them are signed, Europe will lack the little protection it has left towards the work of the average citizen, their health, and the environment. We will eat mainly GMO food, our land will be destroyed in the searching of shale-oil, and if a government tries to raise the living standard of the people, they are going to be destroyed by the transnational companies which are going to be scared that their capital is going to be less than the previous year.

We can see the European people protesting on the streets against the TTIP contract, we can see millions of European citizens signing in petitions against it and still the attitude from the Brussel’s elite is total neglecting. They are acting as if they the Washington’s elite. Or actually, they are. The people who work in these offices are a lot closer to the ones beyond the ocean than to their European fellow-citizens. And the gap between the elite and the average citizen is continuing to grow. There is nothing in common between the way the European official see the world, and the way the citizens see it. A proof to this is the recent German occasion, where the German counselor Angela Merkel, without giving it much of a thought, said that everyone who doesn’t like the way they are living in their homelands to move to Germany. She invited them with such calmness as if she was inviting friends for a cup of tea. And maybe she was really surprised when thousands German people started going out on streets to express their unhappiness with this policy, and when politicians from her own party started going against her. It turns that, politicians like Merkel and this funny French politician, Hollande haven’t been thinking about the citizen’s opinion for a very long time. The only think they care about is the Washington’s orders. They know that if they don’t have the American approval of their policy, they will never reach the power again. Despite winning the elections, the Americans will organize such an active action against them that they will never be on power again. Dominik Troska, you remember him, was a leading person in the social predictions of France for becoming the new president but I guess you also remember what happened to him in a hotel in New York.

But in the end, exactly this attitude towards the American elite is going to become the end of the European one. Even though, the Europeans are bearing this right now, there is definitely going to come the time when they won’t agree with their officials dealing with their future in advantage of Washington’s officials. More and more Europeans are losing not only their jobs and families, they are losing their hope that their future will be better than now. When a lot of people start living with this thought, there definitely will be a social explosion. Because there is no point in keeping a decayed building since it will definitely fall on your head, and therefore, it is better for you to destroy it. The manifesto of Karl Marx and Friedrich Hegel’s communistic party ends with the words ‘’And may the officials on power be afraid of the communistic revolution. In this revolution the average citizen has nothing to lose except for his chains, and they can win a whole world.’’ This manifesto, written in 1848, today sounds surprisingly accurate.
