Philip Giraldi: "America’s Recessional: Time to Bring the Troops Home"

U.S. President Donald Trump is displayed on a screen as he delivers remarks to West Point graduating cadets during their 2020 United States Military Academy graduation ceremony at West Point, New York, U.S. June 13, 2020. REUTERS/Jonathan Ernst

Written by Philip Giraldi; Originally appeared at The Unz Review

Two weeks ago a senior Trump Administration official revealed that the president had decided to withdraw 9,500 American soldiers from Germany and that the administration would also be capping total U.S. military presence in that country at 25,000, which might involve more cuts depending what is included in the numbers. The move was welcomed in some circles and strongly criticized in others, but many observers were also bemused by the announcement, noting that Donald Trump had previously ordered a reduction in force in Afghanistan and a complete withdrawal from Syria, neither of which has actually been achieved. In Syria, troops were only moved from the northern part of the country to the oil producing region in the south to protect the fields from seizure by ISIS, while in Afghanistan the nineteen-year-long training mission and infrastructure reconstruction continue.

In a somewhat related development, the Iraqi parliament has called for the removal of U.S. troops from the country, a demand that has been rejected by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Put it all together and it suggests that any announcement coming from the White House on ending America’s useless wars should be regarded with some skepticism.

The United States has its nearly 35,000 military personnel remaining in Germany as its contribution to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), founded in 1949 to counter Soviet forces in Eastern Europe in what was to become the Warsaw Pact. Both the Organization and Pact were ostensibly defensive alliances and the U.S. active participation was intended to demonstrate American resolve to come to the aid of Western Europe. Currently, 75 years after the end of World War II and thirty years after the fall of communist governments in Eastern Europe, NATO is an anachronism, kept going by the many statesmen and military establishments of the various countries that have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. Since the demise of the European communist regimes, NATO has found work in bombing Serbia, destroying Libya and in helping in the unending task to train an Afghan army.

In spite of the clearly diminished threat in Europe, NATO has expanded to 30 members, including most of the former communist states that made up the Warsaw Pact. The most recent acquisition was Montenegro in 2016, which contributed 2,400 soldiers to the NATO force. That expansion was carried out in spite of assurances given to the post-Soviet Russian government that military encroachment would not take place. Currently, NATO continues to focus on the threat from Moscow as its own viable raison d’être, with its deployments and training exercises often taking place right up against Russia’s borders.

Few really believe that the Russia, which has a GDP only the size of Italy’s, intends or is even capable of reestablishing anything like the old Soviet Union. But a vulnerable Russia is nevertheless interested in maintaining an old-fashioned sphere of influence around its borders, which explains the concern over developments in Ukraine, Georgia and the Baltic States.

Given the diminished threat level in Europe, the withdrawal of 9,500 soldiers should be welcomed by all parties. Trump has been sending the not unreasonable message that if the Europeans want more defense, they should pay for it themselves, though he has wrapped his proposal in his usual insulting and derogatory language. A wealthy Germany currently spends 1.1% of GDP on its military, far less than the 2% that NATO has declared to be a target to meet alliance commitments. That compares with the nearly 5% that the U.S. has been spending globally, inclusive of intelligence and national security costs.

Fair enough for burden sharing, but the European concern is more focused on how Trump does what he does. For example, he announced the downsizing without informing America’s NATO partners. The Germans were surprised and pushed back immediately. Conservative politician Peter Beyer said “This is completely unacceptable, especially since nobody in Washington thought about informing its NATO ally Germany in advance,” and German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas regretted the planned withdrawal, describing Berlin’s relationship with the Washington as “complicated.” Chancellor Angela Merkel was reportedly shocked.

The timing of the decision has also been questioned, with many observers believing that Trump deliberately staged the announcement to punish Merkel for refusing to attend a planned G-7 Summit in the U.S. that the president had been trying to arrange. Merkel argued that dealing with the consequences of the coronavirus made it difficult for her to leave home at the present time and the G-7 planning never got off the ground, which angered Trump, who wanted to demonstrate his global leadership in an election year.

Trump’s behavior has real world consequences. The Canadians and Europeans regard him as a joke, but a dangerous joke due to his impulsive decision making. He cannot be trusted and when he says something he often contradicts himself on the next day. Arguably Donald Trump was elected president on the margin of difference provided by an anti-war vote after many Americans took seriously his pledge to end the burgeoning overseas wars and bring the soldiers home. It all may have been a lie even as he was saying it, but it was convincing at the time and a welcome antidote to Hillary the Hawk.

There will be costs associated with removing or relocating the troops in Germany, to include constructing new bases somewhere else, hopefully in the United States, but the realization that the soldiers are not really needed could lead to the downsizing of the U.S. military across the board. That would be strongly resisted by the Pentagon, the defense industries and Congress.

If Trump is serious about downsizing America’s overseas commitments, the reduction in the German force is a good first step, even if it was done for the wrong reasons. It would be even better if he would force NATO into discussions about ending the alliance now that it is no longer needed, which would mean that the remaining American soldiers in Europe could come home.

The U.S. mission of global dominance has meant huge budget deficits and a national debt of $26 trillion, which is likely unsustainable. Germany and other European nations, by way of contrast, balance their government budgets every year. South Korea, which hosts 30,000 American soldiers, is wealthy and far more powerful than its northern neighbor. The continued occupation of Japan with 50,000 troops makes no sense even considering an increase in China’s regional power. Overall, the United States continues to have 170,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines based overseas in 150 countries and its military budget exceeds one trillion dollars when everything is considered. The Iraq and Afghanistan Wars may have cost as much as seven trillion dollars given the fact that much of the money was borrowed and will have to be repaid with interest.

It is past time for Donald Trump to make a bold move because the Democrats won’t have the backbone to rattle the status quo. End the foreign wars, shut down the overseas bases and bring the soldiers home. Spend tax dollars to improve the lives of Americans, not to fight wars for Saudis and Israelis. A simple formula for change, but sometimes simple is best.

At this stage Trump and the antiwar people who put him in office are opposed by almost the entire political establishment. Which leaves economic realities as the go to option for achieving an end to the Jew’s and Zionist’s forever war hegemony drive. And that is the more probable avenue that will result in ending the American forever war assault on humanity.

These are some of the reasons why abolishing Judaism and Zionism are national security issues for the US and humanity to create a better future.

The Objective

Isn’t it surprising how some Americans sanctify Trump as antiwar? This is even after he nearly started the biggest American war in January this year. What would happen had Iran actually killed Americans instead of the face-saving missile attack?

Swift Laggard II

nothing would have happened. even the mad dogs are not ready for another war. they will not attack iran

The Objective

Not with the magnitude of disputes they have with Iran.

Ivan Freely

US soldiers did die from the missile attack. The Pentagon saved face by mislabeling their deaths (i.e. training accidents, or deaths from other combat operations). Southfront had posted articles of this.

The Objective

I disagree. No U.S soldier died. Otherwise, their comrades in arms would speak up. The pentagon cannot silent hundreds of troops who witness the death of others. Iran never intended to kill anyone. That makes me wonder how strong the faith of Iran is in God’s help. They appear avoiding a war with America at all cost. This is unlike a beleiving Muslim nation.

RichardD

Trump probably is anti war. But the political establishment isn’t. You can fault him on not stopping the existing wars, but he also hasn’t started any new ones.

The Objective

He hasn’t started a new war cos that’ll cost him re-election.

RichardD

I agree.

RichardD

The CHAZ/CHOP zone that I reconned extensively with foot patrols on multiple occasions, not surprisingly has now seen multiple shootings in the sedition zone that the mayor set up to bring lawlessness and chaos to America. These subversive politicians are a threat to US national security.

Peter Moy

Only a weak, stupid, degenerate society allows these types of conditions. Just my observation, the police officers really should be wearing helmets. A brick, bottle, pipe or baseball bat to the head could ruin their day. A quick solution to clearing this so-called autonomous zone would be to cut off the supply of water, electricity, food and watch these independence minded people exterminate each other.

RichardD

The buildings are full of tennents so cutting utilities isn’t an option. That many officers with 15 shot .40 S&W M&Ps and 30 shot short barrel M4s can clear an area quickly.

Seattle has a significant population of counter culture and far left liberals and techies. They have people in office who cater to their societal bent. It’s not all of the population, but there are enough of them to tip the scales in their favor to society’s detriment.

The tri county area has been under lock down the longest with real unemployment in the 50% area, which isn’t helping.

Ronald

Reminds me of the ‘no go’ zones that we’ve read about in Europe. Only instead of using Muslims to divide and conquer, its BLM/Antifata and anarchists. To add to what Peter Moy said about helmets, I was also surprised to see them all caring assault guns instead of helmets, shields and nightsticks. Too easy for one to trip and set off who knows what.

Your right, whoever is responsible for allowing this to continue is treasonous.

RichardD

At close quarters a semi auto M4 with 30 round mags is a formidable personal defense weapon. Those may have been the short barreled version. One problem is the protesters on top of buildings.

Ronald

In the phalanx style that they used, shields with 1 or 2 carrying in the middle would appear less threatening, but real back up on any breech attempt. Shields also add some protection from projectiles including bullets. Had one of those officers tripped and accidentally fired and hit a protester, it would be used to ignite more madness.

RichardD

There’s a big anti riot police push in Seattle by the leftist politicians supported by the leftist protesters trying to appease the protesters. That’s probably why the police choose the approach that they did. The government is stripping the police of using riot control gear:

– Seattle City Council bans chokeholds, police use of crowd control weapons –

https://q13fox.com/2020/06/15/seattle-city-council-votes-unanimously-to-ban-police-from-using-chokeholds/

The initial rioting subsided before the anti riot control prohibitions, but the marches and occupation of the no police, paramedic and fire zone continue. It’s debatable if concessions to the rioters brought about an end to the rioting, or if it had already been quelled by the police and national guard.

In either case, the occupation of the no go zone by the protesters and the marches continue. With the police in a reduced capacity to quell disturbances and provide public safety to a section of the city. If the city government hadn’t made concessions to the protesters. The policing, medical and fire wouldn’t be impaired. And the rioting would probably be over, with some non violent protest marches continuing.

So the city government is deliberately prolonging the anarchy to fuel it and retain the support of the extreme left swing vote that keeps them in power. To the detriment of society as a whole.

Ronald

Have you heard about the Canadian “mas shooter” in Nova Scotia, this guy killed 22 people. He withdrew $475,000.00 just prior to his crime according to MacLeans Magazine, who quoted police sources saying “It has the hallmarks of an undercover operation”, “its how an agent would get money”. https://www.macleans.ca/news/canada/the-nova-scotia-shooter-case-has-hallmarks-of-an-undercover-operation/ So even though it could just as easily have been MI6 the CIA, or any number of other usual suspects, the bad guy tag is placed on the police. So this ‘anti-police operation’ looks much larger than just Seattle.

RichardD

I agree completely. At this time the city and state have gone further than anyplace else in instituting sedition and lawlessness.

Peter Moy

Also notice how US police forces are quick to use tear gas or pepper spray instead of water cannons as is the case in many other countries.

Ronald

Yes I’m sure those M4’s were not carrying rubber bullets.

cechas vodobenikov

Townbee observed that all empires suicide—as Americans burn down their country and conflate protest with vandalism, they merely display that they are immature children…..their end is near

Liberal guy

One thing is for sure situation is far worst then what it was ten years ago in this called called invincible country.

occupybacon

In the past 10 years Russia dropped from 5th economy to 11th.

Brother Ma

Yes but their purchase parity is probably increasing. Ie they can buy more goods with less money than last time.

occupybacon

What means last time?

Brother Ma

Last time the figures were taken ;before the sanctions or even back in Soviet times.

occupybacon

The figures were taken by whom?

Jens Holm

Thre is a lot of relatives in that. One could be they have not sollapsed as USSR did and Russia today is not seen as a succes to me. I also allow me to add ots forgotten, that China dont take much cake from USA but mainly make the cake to share for the world bigger.

I loke the last part having seen China Communisme by Mao and others.

I also alllow me to add EU even with bog problems has a very big economy, bcause it has grown.

So changes in the world are made. I will remind Ýou that the strong side for Democrasy should be changes are possible because its build for that having an advanced infrastructure.

“Engels and Mujammed was NOT here” – /And Adams last name is Smidt:)

Jens Holm

You have inflation. USA is a big country having 330 mio inhabitants.

I see problems but nohopes for suicide and collapse or decline to Your level. Its the the same again and again. You cant improve Ypur own country or part of country, so the only hopes for equal lack right are fiascos by others.

I have heard the same song by the same kind of people since i remember.

Liberal guy

Of course not a total decline but just things going worst

Jens Holm

It was an understandabl choise to try something else, but they unfortunatly got a Trump which hardly solves anything but the opposite.

A start should be the same kind of election system all over and people shpuld not qualify as well as register as voters. I dont get that part at all.

How can all have the right to vote and next has to register as such.

We all has to have an adress as well as a bankaccount and therefore all are something. By that they send us a letter telling what to vote about, where to vote and when as well as how we can vote by letter or internet.

Next we go to the shool, countryhall or like that. There we give them pur refister number and we get the voring list. Some few might be seen as cheating or voring rwice 2 different places, but thats avoided by harder ID control withpicture such as driving license or passpart.

Its also impossible here, that votes can be wasted because we have a system, which repair on that close to 100%. Small parties can be represented here even if they have few votes in each area, they automaticly are added up among those “extra mandates”.

By that its impossible to elect a President(if we has a such) having not a majority of the votes for the whole country.

Thats a start.

Next should be finding candidates in another way. It seemes very strange 330 mio. Americans cant do better then fx Trump as well as Hillary.

In those upper elections the States should not count as they do at all. Single votes should.

The Objective

You type lengthy bullshit don’t you? Reading your comments requires as much effort as carrying a 50kg load uphill.

Swift Laggard II

he is either a troll, or an AI bot being tested. he rarely makes any sense

occupybacon

Well said, Jens. All the lazy asses can do is make noize and hoping others to do worse. Asians shut up and work to catch with the West, Russians and Arabs loudly pray the West to fall by itself

occupybacon

Yeah and the Messiah is comming, the signs are obvious.

SnowCatzor

Good article, definitely agree. Unfortunately the Washington deep-state does not want it’s global military-empire dismantled and will fight tooth and nail prevent any such withdrawals.

Jens Holm

Most of Your deep state is made byYourself and Your own Goverments. You not even use the many facts about us, which are at the Internet. Ypou also dont visist Our public libraries and Our debates and budgets at Our Parlaments.

Thats where the main dark of Yours are. Another of importance is, You not even has a language for, what we do and how we think and deny to have that even people like me explain again and again, You cant sompare primitive one string economies with great parts of the rest of the world as well as too many dont understand women are just as productive as men and often priduce more and better then soeone like You, because they go to school, take and education, their skills are used and they also are motivated paid pr hour after how advanced jobs they have too.

And Yes, tates like Ours has deep secrets too, but most I see here – whic You name as deep – is made dark by Yourself.

A very good example is, You cant even debate womens right in most of the Islamic world. Thats how You make Your own limits. Westerns didnt invent Islam as well as asked for Import to here.

If You are muslim, You use socalled mixted rooms. WE DONT HAVE THEM apart from changing clothe and toilets. So we have a contest, where men and vomen can go anywhere they want and with whome and in the streets, at school and at work a single persons with no protections.

And why. Its because in Islam women was made of clay and not Adam and therefoire are second class made and raised for buy and sale. Here the deep state is made beause You have defined mens rights and vomen has to be kept even less productive and stupid the You – If You are a muslim.

And its same kind of thinking in Russia. Russians has not learned anything even the Tzar as well as the Bolsjevics collapsed it. Russia as the only one lost ww1 three times. Maybee and own production for oxygen could be made in Siberia for all living there. Where is the middle class, which You never mention ass the most important factor for western succes?

The Objective

You seem to have an obsession with hating Muslims. Knowing you are a Jew I am not surprised. Whatever you do Islam will shine. Spread as much propaganda as you can; train and arm as much terrors as you can, but Islam will shine even if you dislike it. That’s the promise Allah made you, and He never fails in his promise. You seeming glory is only temporary. In fact, it’s in decline. And there is no reversing the tide. May God keep us alive long enough to see how all this ends. Having succeeded in n dismantling communism you’ve finally met your match -Islam. You are not the first and probably not the last to wage war on Islam. How did it end for those empires who tried? Double defeat: first, they are humiliated and defeated on earth. Then that go to hellfire (which is the real loss, not what they lost on earth). Kuffaar like you do not understand this warning untill it’s too late. Should you die in your current state, you indeed will be put in hellfire never to get out. The only thing standing between the kuffaar and eternal torment is death. You will realise this as soon as you breathe your last.

Swift Laggard II

Find Jesus Christ before it is too late. The mad prophet from the desert was an idolater who worshiped the moon god and led many astray

The Objective

Christ Jesus was a messenger of Allah, not Allah himself. Read john 5:30. It is Christians who are astray. See how they claim to worship God with nakedly clothed women amidst men in churches. They don’t agree on a particular Bible version. They make up things like Christmas, Sunday, etc. Without any divine authorisation. Jesus never went to church, nor did he order men and women to gather there on Sunday. He ate and went to toilet like anyone else. He lacks knowledge of the future when he expected to get fruit from a tree, but was disappointed. He openly rebuked a man for calling him good, because according to him, none is good but one: The Almighty Allah. He worshped Allah with his face to the ground. He lamented on the cross to another God. He never abolished the laws and the prophets like Christians do. He clearly stated he could do nothing by himself. The Bible promised an everlasting gospel will come (the Quran). The Bible describes the features of this gospel which the Quran meets. Christians have killed more people than any religion. Christians started and fought ww1, ww2, slavery, colonialism, murdered millions in India, China, Africa, middle East, and other countries. ww1 and ww2 alone killed more than 70million. They are also likely to start ww3 with far more deaths. A poll in America revealed that over 60% of Americans believe the U.S (a country identifying as christians) will be the one to start ww3. Iran had less than 10%. No other Muslim country on the list. Israel of course ranks high. But you vipers have the guts to preach that Muslims are violent, when history proves you have produced the worst murderers (Hitler and others) and your armies have killed far more than followers of any religion. But these crimes will be paid for, cos Christianity itself will perish.

Raptar Driver

You stop pretending to Understand Christianity. Read John 1. 1-5.

The Objective

Refute my claims before giving me an assignment. Christians are fond of twisting the meanings of Bible verses that are clear enough. That is the main reason anyone using common sense will not accept Christianity. It is also the way even secular Muslims realise the religion of Christianity is an invention lacking devine backing. You negate one verse using another. That shows how contradicting your Bible is. And Allah does not contradict Himself.

Raptar Driver

I already have, soundly and completely once and forever. Do you require more correction? Somebody is a glutton for punishment.

The Objective

There are more than five verses in the same Bible that negates your favourite misleading verse

Raptar Driver

Show me even one and I will show you how stupid you are.

The Objective

Gospel of John 5:30 ‘i can of mine own self do nothing, as i hear i judge, and my judgment is just, because i seek not my own will but the will of the one who has sent me.’ Matthew 24:36 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the Son, but the Father only. Here Jesus makes a distinction between what he knows and what the Father knows. He had no knowledge about the last day but only the father.

2. Matthew 26:39 My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me, yet not as I will, but as Thou will. Jesus’ will is likewise autonomous from God’s Will. Jesus is seeking acquiescence to God’s will. Again proving he was a Muslim.

John 5:26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. Jesus received his life from God. God received his life from no one. He is eternally self- existent. The father had life in himself however the son was granted his life thus proving they weren’t the same. 4. John 5:30 By myself, I can do nothing: I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who has sent me. Jesus says, “by myself, I can do nothing.” This indicates that Jesus is relying upon his own relationship with God. He is not trying to “please myself” but rather is seeking to “please the one who sent me.” again the same quotation which proves he was a muslim. 5. John 5:19 The Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees the Father doing, because whatever the Father does, the Son does also. Jesus declares that he is following a pattern laid down by God. He is expressing obedience to God. 6. Mark 10:18 Why do you call me good? No one is good, exceptGod alone. Here Jesus emphatically makes a distinction between himself and God. Let alone god, he didn’t want to be called good. He said only the father is good. 7. John 14:28 The Father is greater than I. This is another strong statement that makes a distinction between Jesus and God. 8. Matthew 6:9 Our Father, which art in Heaven. He didn’t pray, Our Father, which art standing right here!” and he said ‘our’ father which means that the people and Jesus had the same father who was god. 9. Matthew 27:46 My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? Inconceivable if he is God the Creator. 10. John 17:21-23 . . .that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. . ..that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. In this prayer Jesus defines the term “to be one.” It is clearly accomplished through the relationship of two autonomous beings. Christian believers are to model their relationship (to become one) after the relationship of God and Christ (as God and Christ are one). Notice that “to be one” does not mean to be “one and the same.” 11. 1 Corinthians 15:27-28 For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. Paul declares that God put everything under Christ, except God himself. Instead God rules all things through Christ. (remember: “through him all things were made.”) 12. Hebrews 1:3

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being. Jesus is the exact representation of his being. I send my representative to Congress. He is not me, myself. He is my representative. 13. Hebrews 4:15 (compared with James 1:13) For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet without sin. Jesus has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet he never sinned. See James 1:13: When tempted, no one should say, God is tempting me. For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt. Jesus was tempted in every way, but God cannot be tempted. This is why Jesus said, “don’t call me good, none are good, only God.” 14. Hebrews 5:7-9 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him

Mark 12:29 ‘Hear o Israel, the lord, our god, the lord is one.’ The use of the word ‘our’ here indicates that he had a god because the word our includes himself. Now that we have got the trinity out the way we can look at a few strong prophecies of the prophet Muhammad made by Jesus Christ (peace be upon both).

The Objective

You give your explanation to these verses. Be mature and do not use abusive words. Even Christians will disagree with the use of abuse in a defending their religion.

Raptar Driver

You don’t understand. God is one God, there are three individuals within this. The Father, son and Holy Spirit. God is a family. One family has different members. Are you educated now?

The Objective

Reminds me of a Quranic verses where Allah describes the wish of Christians. They wish ernestly that what they believe should be true. But Allah promises never to accept their false religion and worship, and warns them to not expect reward for their stubbornness. You cannot choose for God how He should be served. God tells you what to do and how to worship Him. Yours is to obey. And that is who a Muslim is. A true Muslim totally submits to the commands of his creator.

The Objective

Here is a quote for you to ponder over. Christians hardly dig deep into the background of their religion, and most have no knowledge of their history. The quote: According to churches that consider the decisions of ecumenical councils final, Trinitarianism was definitively declared to be Christian doctrine at the 4th-century ecumenical councils,[1][2][3] that of the First Council of Nicaea (325), which declared the full divinity of the Son,[4] and the First Council of Constantinople (381), which declared the divinity of the Holy Spirit.[5]”. This is from Wikipedia.

What I want you to note about this bit of Christian history is that, prior to the fourth century, say in the first and second centuries, followers of Christ did not attribute divinity to him. Why? Because they understood, and he never preached he is God. Do the Christians who came 400 years after Christ know him better than the earlier generation? Certainly not. The fact he was declared divine 400 years later means he wasn’t considered divine by many prior to that time. What I want you to answer is; why declear him divine 400 years after his departure instead of doing so from day one? 400 years is a long long time.

Tommy Jensen

Everybody forget America’s interest in all these countries.

American’s have invested in small Nike shoe and T-shirt shops and small size American companies have build American factories and networks in all these countries where we have military bases.

If our boys dont protect the little American guy and his business, our country is condemned to soup kitchens.

Harry Smith

Your boys protect mainly big corporations interests. It’s interesting why you said about Nike, but allow me please suggest you to google Nike China factory locations to justify my words about corporations. While inside of USA the main reason of personal bankruptcies is medical debt. So why you are young and healthy it’s not a problem at all. But older you will get – bigger probability is you end your life in a trailer. Something is hardly broken in your country and nobody could fix it until now.

Jens Holm

Your way of relating makes no sense.

They have chosen that system themselves and we see the bad side of it well. So if want to avoid bankrupsy You have to be inspired fx by the Skansinavian Countries like Sanders has done for years.

But they elect Biden. Dont they. They choose – or most choose even to pay double up compared to Denmark, where medical care and hospitals are free.

You also has free schools and can be a doctor or lawyer for free.

A realtive well pension is there as well as You cna save money Yourself.

You dont get choise and choose. I also will reemind You that the USA conditions about health care and hospitals are in many parts of the world and even worse.

Its no defence as such but the bad sides of USA are always found and the USA middle class doing fine is hardly in any comments.

They do need vital reforms but Yout focus is wrong. Many socalled poor in the USA has much better conditions then many others in the world and also live longer.

That of course is a bad excuse.

DEnmark see social wellfare and education as investments, whicjh includes people ans more becomes good taxåpayers. We also pay a lot because we prefare social wellfare personal instead of bad police with short fuse, which are low educated and by that make too many very bads results.

Ours certainly can be improved some, but it seemes to be Eden compæared to parts of USA.

.

Harry Smith

Sincerely tried to understand your mindflow. Please pardon me if you can but I failed.

Jens Holm

I understand Your problems well. You dont understand how the Americans and the American Economy well. Therefore its even more difficult to compare a Kapitalistic Skandinavian model with the American version.

But USA do need vital repairs such as inspred by Sanders or other kind of improvements.

Your version of USA has never existed and never will for good or bad reasons.

You never includes the ones, which are doing very well in their system because they hardly exist in Yours. You also never include why they have a great succs by that but most likely prefare to see their GDP pr capita only at a small upperclass as in the system, You are in.

Thats how I see it.

Jens Holm

I am afraid thats only a small part of it. Anybosy can be shareholders in most of the companies being all over the world.

You also dont buy Denmark if You buy parts(give loans) to Novo Nordisk, Maersk Line or Vestas windpower. States by that are helpers and also the opposite for own profit but also for stockholders fromm many other countries.
