The second batch of Russian-made BMPT-72 Terminator 2 tank support fighting vehicles arrived in Algeria.
The photographs are dated around noon, local time, on November 19th, 2020.
This was confirmed by a photograph showing a tank support fighting vehicle of the type in Algeria. This is the first image that confirm any of this hardware has arrived in the country.
The first batch was delivered back in 2020, and there were no photos, only reports of its arrival.

The arrival of this second batch corresponds to the entry into service of the BMPT-72 Terminator 2 tank support fighting vehicle into the combat units of the Algerian Armed Forces.

Yes, it is a large order running into hundreds of vehicles. They also have over 1000 T-90SA that are being delivered in batches of 200. The First batch of 75 Terminator2 were delivered in 2018. I have read reports that Algeria will be one of the first countries to get the S-500 Prometheus as Russia has a very high level of trust and confidence in Algerian military.
Algerian army has become one of the first to show interest in ADMS S-400 and S-350. In the nearest five years, they can appear in the inventory. Besides, in the context of diversification policy, Algeria can purchase radars and ADMSs of China production, as well as electromagnetic warfare systems. Collaboration with the USA is probable in the field of radars, as operation experience with them was considered as a positive one.
Finally, it cannot be excluded that Algeria will become a buyer of new batches of ADMGS Pantzyr-S1 and even S-500, in case the latter system is offered for export in the nearest decade.
