Turks are doing this in order to get the population ready for the next big thing: Turkish army taking large swaths of territory, fighting Syrian Army outright. They plan on taking Syrian and Iraqi lands and settling them with Turks and doing business there (oil, food, etc.). They are trying to recreate Ottoman Empire and honestly, they have a good shot at doing it since those countries are nations on paper only.
