*facepalm* And they wonder why Trump calls those countries shitholes.

Olypious

Well, if Boko Haram is what many suspects … that is a proxy army for Africa like ISIS is for the Middle East, then one should carefully review what happened before judging. They might have gotten some kind of help there.

Remember, a few years ago ISIS suddenly swept across Iraq … and did their shopping there. It was Open Bar for them. They managed to loot lots of US Humvees and arms.

Barba_Papa

The history of ISIS is well documented and they did not materialize out of nowhere. They trace their parentage to the Iraqi resistance of Saddam’s former army and Al Qaida in Iraq. Similarly Boko Haram has been around as well. They’re classic examples what happens when you ignore a problem for long enough, it comes to bite you in the ass. In the case of BH politicians in southern Nigeria, where the capital is, just ignored what happened in the far away north, and let if fester on until they could no longer ignore it. Only to discover that BH could actually take on the corrupt and inefficient Nigerian army. In the case of ISIS nobody in Iraq gave a fuck as to what was going on in Syria, where ISIS was setting themselves up. Then they suddenly swept in Iraq, and since a lot of ISIS commanders were former Saddam loyalists and insurgents they knew exactly where to strike the weak, ineffective and divided Iraqi army. Which ran with its tail between its legs and ditching every piece of gear in its path. Which totally demoralized armies tend to do.

I hardly see the need to drag in conspiracy theories for that. Now, how the US and others (including Assad) found ISIS useful, and probably BH too, that’s a different story altogether. There’s a very dirty story to be told there.

“ISIS commanders were former Saddam loyalists and insurgents they knew exactly where to strike the weak, ineffective and divided Iraqi army. Which ran with its tail between its legs and ditching every piece of gear in its path.” THIS IS NOT TRUE… Late last year an Iraqi general was sentenced to death for instructing his men to abandon all weapons( garrisons) and run in the face of an ISIS assault (Mosul I think). This general got instructions from somewhere and not from the Iraqi high command. Iran and others like Maqtada al Sadr knew all along something wasn’t right, hence the fatwa that lead to the creating of the PMU( a force totally independent of American and NATO influence).. My point..Saddam loyalist within ISIS ranks had nothing to do with the Iraqi army running at the sight of ISIS. they were being discouraged from fighting and most importantly.. allow ISIS to have these weapons..

Barba_Papa

Those instructions could just as easily have come from ISIS. Since they had a lot of former Saddam era Iraqi military and intelligence members, and a habit in infiltrating the areas they wanted to take over, it makes perfect sense for them to have compromised that general. Also, never underestimate the need for a scapegoat. Far more easier for a government to blame a general, or a group, then admit to their own failing.

“Those instructions could just as easily have come from ISIS.”

Well talk about conspiracy theory

“Iran and others like Maqtada al Sadr knew all along something wasn’t right, hence the fatwa that lead to the creating of the PMU”

June 6 2014 ISIS attacked Mosul. By 10 June the city (with a population of at least 1.8 million people) had fallen. The PMF (aka PMU) were formed by the Iraqi government on 15 June 2014 after Marja’ Ali al-Sistani’s non-sectarian fatwa on “Sufficiency Jihad” on 13 June. So really, just like everyone else, Iran and Sadr knew that something wasn’t right only after Mosul fell largely without a fight. Isn’t that what the timing of the fatwa shows?

You can call me Al

Very well put.

Capture of Mosul was a western intelligence aided operation. Iraqi soldiers were paid to stay home, Daesh were given precise intel on locations of everything. US instructors take a year to train soldiers to drive tanks etc. but the Daesh drive away like experts on the same day, and are seen doing donuts in the streets of Raqqa a few days later. Where did they learn to drive? About Iraqi troops running away from Daesh: in the early days there were large numbers of sleeper cells inside the Iraqi army. When Daesh attacked suddenly one of your “mates” would turn out to be with the enemy and start shooting at you. Iraqi Army was supposed to become completely useless. Luckily the muftis realised what was happening and quickly set up the PMU, which irritated Pentagon no end. And it has been the PMU that has carried the day. This was a great response to a treacherous enemy penetration of the national armed forces.

Yeah…Cut my legs and then call me short..Remember Libya the biggest shithole in Africa..How did it get there?..Matter of fact how did all the shithole get to be shitholes? One is suppose to believe Boko like ISIS sprang up from nowhere, never runs out of arms for some strange reason, does exactly what the biggest imperialist power today wants it to be doing so it can have an excuse to be in Africa and all this are just coincidences?

Finally showing your true colors in recent times arent you?Eventually all Zionist imperialist supporting trolls come out..

Barba_Papa

Libya became a shithole because of the US/NATO intervention. But that was recent. How did other shitholes became shitholes? Or more importantly, stay shitholes? There comes a time when you can no longer blame the past and have to start accept some blame yourself. Nigeria has been one of the most corrupt countries in Africa for a long time. That is why it is still a shithole.

As for Boko Haram springing up out of nowhere and getting supplies, movements spring up out of nowhere all the time. As in when conditions were ready for them, then some dudes get together and it starts to snowball. By the time the rest of the world starts taking notice they actually already have been around for some time. But in the case of BH, since its Africa, who in the West gives a fuck? Until it starts biting us in the ass, yeah, then we start taking notice.

As for them getting supplies? The world is full of people who are willing to make a buck selling things to people the rest of us would be better of if they didn’t. It’s called capitalism and the illegal arms trade. Especially since Africa is full of things like diamonds, rare earths, valuable metals, people trafficing, and shitloads of other stuff that generates cash for unscrupulous people. I don’t see the need to resort to all sorts of nefarious conspiracy plots to explain that.

But if that makes me a zionist troll, I can probably not convince you otherwise. In which case I will go off and collect my 30 shekels of silver and ask my new Mossad handler out on a date. I hear that if you buy her drinks she will put out.
