Jaish al-Islam has released pictures showing the burning of military equipment ahead of the withdrawal from the Syrian town of Douma, located in the Damascus subrub of Eastern Ghouta.
The Syrian Arab Army and its allies entered Douma on April 14 after a major part of Jaish al-Islam had withdrawn from the area to the militant-held part of northern Syria under a deal reached with the Damascus government.

Too bad the Syrian army didn’t do that with their own equipment, before it fell into the hands of these thugs. Then maybe East Ghouta would not have been such a tough nut to crack.
I do wonder if a good tank repair depot could bring these vehicles back to life. I know that in WWII control of the battlefield after the battle was paramount to both sides, as the winner would be able to recover and repair some of its lost vehicles. And losing those battlefields and that ability after 1942 was a key factor in the increasing decline of the Wehrmacht.
True but when you’re running for your life from US head-chopping, heart-eating rapers and slavers, the niceties can’t always be observed. Burning tanks etc can make them write-offs but thick steel boxes are rather resistant to the inflammable fitments going up so it’s possible that some will be repaired or canniabalised for spares.
My great granda did that during ww2, majority will be scrapped and probably used for armour replacement.
Don’t forget steel loses many of its properties when subjected to high temperatures.
