On November 21, a media wing of the National Defense Forces (NDF) released photos, which show Syrian troops preparing to deploy to fight ISIS in the Syrian province of Deir Ezzor. According to the report, 160 government soldiers will reinforce the Syrian assault group already involved in the operation.
The fact that this rather pro Assad site thinks sending some 160 NDF – as in second rate mostly ununiformed quasi military – to DeZ – as newsworthy is to me a sign that Assad is scraping the bottom of the barrel and only muck is remaining.
This report is in line though woth the many reports here and elsewhere, where is becomes more clear with every report that it is foreigners fighting in DeZ and, except for Tiger forces, hardly anybody else .
When I compare this to the rapid expansion of SDF, volonteers (HXP – conscript army is not part of the SDF forces) instead of conscripts (that are never demobilised) of the SAA, one can see why SAA is unlikely to attack SDF, the more so as RuAF is unlikely to support an assault on SDF by SAA.
Mosaad national you forgot to mention those joining the SDF if Syrian have to do so at gun point like the Soviet army was, with the vast majority joining the SDF being foreign ISIS fighters under Israeli command just like the SDF.
“Except for Tigers” so the Republican Guard?….5th Assualt corp….
HRW usually has an anti-Syria and anti-Assad stance. When HRW reports that SDF uses child soldiers, it means the stink is so foul that even they cannot deny it.
There are other sources which I have no doubt you’ll dismiss using various justifications, but I include them for other readers anyway: NSO (Northern Syria Observer Press TV
On top of all these, are the reports about SDF hiring ISIS members.
Again you are showing how stupid you are.Firstly they are RG there and other SAA divisions and of course TF.If SAA doesnt attack “SDF” will be because of American air attacks threat
Yes with the Americans SAA needs the support of Russia which I think Russia rather not directly confront US when Russia can use negotiation to get what Syria wants.
You are out of reality. You are saying till now with your ostrich head in shit that this war is essentially an external force invading Syria.
It is common knowledge that the vast majority of Syrians of all religion support Assad to ensure they will have a United Syria instead of Libya like situation.
This is confirmed by my personal contacts with Syrians and confirmed when Syrians in and OUTSIDE Syria all voted overwhelmingly for Assad.
It is really stupid to conclude that sending 160 fighters indicate that Assad does not have the support of the majority of Syrians. In fact in my view Assad should be honoured with the title ‘The Great’ to have defeated your friends/terrorists.
For one , ad. Christian , l am glad Christians can still live in Syria free to practise their religion under Assad.
God bless Syria and Assad
