On July 31, a number of pinpoint strikes targeted the Watad Petroleum Company in the town of Saramada in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib.
The strikes targeted the company’s headquarters as well as its main fuel storage facility. A series of large fires erupted as a result. The strikes caused serious material losses. However, no casualties have been reported, thus far.
Opposition activists said three precision-guided projectiles had targeted the company’s facilities in the early morning hours.

Watad is owned by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The company has a monopoly over the fuel market in Greater Idlib and is known to be behind the oil trafficking from Syria to Turkey.
The company was apparently targeted with suicide drones or precision-guided non-line-of-sight missiles. HTS has not yet shared any information on the weapon used in the strikes.
On July 18, three mysterious projectiles, believed to be suicide drones, targeted the headquarters of Watad. No serious damage was reported back then. A similar attack on the company was also reported on July 7.
These pinpoint strikes on Watad may have been launched by the Syrian, Russian or Iranian forces. The strikes are likely meant to disturb the financial network of HTS. Watad is one of the main income sources of the terrorist group, which dominates in Greater Idlib.
Very nice, drone the head chopers
Oy gevalt…
“Ah-h-h shaitan, my o-o-oil!” – that’s what Erdogan could say.)
Why aren’t Turks sanctioned by the UN for financing terrorists? they should together with anyone else like israhell, unless the UN also supports terrorism, what a fool! it is obvious that it does!
justice, what an antiquated notion master blaster run barter town !!!!!
Sarmada is only 17 km from the SAA front lines, that means even the oldest piece of artillery the SAA uses could easily hit this target without any issues, so why would anyone use expensive drones and missiles when they could just as easily use a cheap and effective artillery shell. Are they sure Russia, Syria and Iran are the only suspects, the US has been doing a lot of damage with their drones in Idlib lately, and they might also be included in the short list of suspects, but since they’ve only ever attack Isis and Turkish backed fighters in Idlib/Aleppo, and not HTS at all, they’re probably not a very likely suspect, but there is one more possible suspect, and they do have a big beef with HTS atm, so I wonder why they weren’t mentioned.
US military has been ruled out of making attacks against it’s own created terrorist organizations. al CIAeda, ISIS, and the list of names for these groups to change to when shit gets too hot, and/or need to appear in greater numbers, are all Western Government fabrications.
You must have missed all the articles on SF concerning US airstrikes in Idlib, all the targeted ninja missile strikes, 40 Al Nusra Front commanders killed in one attack, the Baghdadi assassination, and many many more, you need to read way more news than you do and read way less propaganda.
