The newly shared footage confirmed Russian control of the village of Annovka (Gannivka) located south of Kurakhovo. On December 16th, the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic showed the Russian flag waving in the settlement.
Fighters of the 242 motorized rifle regiment of the 20th motorized Rifle division of the 8th Guards Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation liberated the settlement of Annovka in the Kurakhovo direction and evacuated the civilian population of the village to a safe place.
Russian control of Annovka confirms that the pocket of Ukrainian resistance west of Uspenovka was destroyed. All the villages along the Sukhie Yaly river are under the full control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. They include Elizavetovka, Romanovka, Vesely Gai and Annovka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine attempt to resist in the western part of Uspenovka.
The Russian military is securing its positions in the liberated villages, evacuates civilians was the ruins.
The footage shows Russian soldiers from the 68th army Corps evacuating civilians from Vesely Gai. All civilians were placed in a temporary accommodation facility, provided with all the necessary and received medical assistance. People are crying grateful to Russian soldiers. They have been waiting for them for years.
