Poroshenko Allegedly Stole $8 Billion From Ukraine And Other News Of ‘Young European Democracy’

The investigations into former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko seem to be revealing some “interesting details.”

Sam Kislin, a US businessman of Ukrainian origin and former advisor of Rudy Giuliani (New York City mayor between 1994 and 2001), visited Ukraine on August 13^th. According to Ukrainian media, he returned in connection with the investigations into Poroshenko.

In March 2019, Kislin accused Poroshenko of genocide of the Ukrainian people and predicted that he would lose the presidential election.

In his most recent visit, he said that Poroshenko had “removed at least $8 billion from the country.”

“I came to meet with the new leadership of the country. In the case of Poroshenko, including. Now an investigation is underway against him, but at the same time the prosecutor [Yuri Lutsenko] there will be no result,” he said in an interview with Strana.UA.

He further said that he had “facts” which could prove large amounts of theft.

“Only from facts known to me, between $700 and $800 million were withdrawn through the state-owned company Centrenergo,” Kislin claimed.

He noted that Poroshenko was being investigated in the US as well, for the “IMF last billion-dollar loan tranche” case.

Earlier, former members of the Azov “Volunteer Battalion” said they intend to seek jail time for Poroshenko for embezzlement at the Ukroboronprom state concern.

Also, lawyer Andriy Portnov in his Telegram channel said that the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine has opened a new case against Poroshenko about thefts in the military.

Kislin was, until recently, banned from entering Ukraine, but apparently after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was elected that ban was lifted.

“- You were banned from entering Ukraine, and in a previous interview with Strana they said that the main reason is your awareness of corruption schemes involving the environment of now ex-President Petro Poroshenko. And here you are again in Ukraine. That is, the ban on entry was lifted?

– Then the ban was introduced by oral order of Poroshenko, and I already wrote a statement to the court at the SBU. Poroshenko was afraid of revelations that I would reveal facts about his corruption, and therefore did not let me into Ukraine. Recently, the Security Service, which already has a new leader Ivan Bakanov, cancelled the ban.”

He didn’t specifically return because he wants to help his country of origin, but rather to see if he can get his money back. In 2014 Kislin bought he bought the Cyprus company Opalcore Ltd through an English broker for $ 8 million at a discount.

Bonds worth approximately $20 million were placed in the accounts of the company in Ukrainian banks and they were frozen. With interest, the sum amount to approximately $23 million and it was seized after a verdict by the Kramatorsky court in the case against former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

Now he’s returned and he’s hopeful that he would get his money back.

Kislin said he hadn’t been called to testify in the investigations yet, but he would go if they called him. He would only speak to the new Attorney General, and what he had to say would easily prove the guilt of Poroshenko, Kononenko, Granovsky and others.

“For example, in relation to Centrenergo, the official victim is my friend and business partner Dima Kryuchkov. We have known Dmitry for more than 20 years, but our joint business is not in Ukraine. More than $700 million was withdrawn from Centrenergo alone, which was deposited in the accounts of offshore companies controlled by Poroshenko.”

He said that the money could potentially be brought back.

“True, Poroshenko has already withdrawn almost all the money from here to foreign accounts, only candy factories remain. But it’s real money that could be found and returned. To do this, you need to attract the FBI, which can control correspondent accounts in foreign currency. And I can also contribute to this, which was discussed at the meeting with Ivan Bakanov.”

Separately, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) opened a criminal case against Vasyl Hrytsak, who resigned from his post as head of the SBU. He was chief of the Ukrainian Security Service from July 2015.

According to Ukrainian media, Gritsak is suspected of involvement in the arrests of obviously innocent citizens.

On August 18^th, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara Netanyahu arrived in Ukraine for a two-day trip. And they managed to form a scandal as soon as they arrived, mostly Sara Netanyahu.

Initially, according to Israeli Media, she was “furious” after not being welcomed on the speakerphone on a plane by the captain of an El Al flight to Ukraine.

Netanyahu rose from her seat and angrily requested to enter the cockpit, but the security guards prevented her from doing so. After a while, the captain of the plane spoke again on the loudspeaker and welcomed her.

El Al said in response to the news: “The prime minister’s flight went according to plan. We were pleased to host the prime minister and Mrs. Netanyahu on our flight to Ukraine.”

The prime minister’s office said in response: “This is a distorted publication. There was a misunderstanding which was immediately clarified and the flight went according to plan. The story about the security guards, as well, is a total lie. It is another attempt to divert attention from the important international visit that the prime minister carried out.”

When the Prime Minister and his spouse got off the plane in Kiev, they were greeted by three girls in traditional Ukrainian clothes and with a loaf of bread and salt. The head of government, already familiar with this ritual, broke a piece of bread, dipped it in salt and bit it. After that, he handed the slice to Sarah’s wife, but she threw it to the ground.

This is Benjamin Netanyahu’s first visit to Kiev in the past 20 years.

On August 19^th, a signing ceremony for Ukrainian-Israeli documents is scheduled for 12:45, after which at 13:00 Vladimir Zelensky and Benjamin Netanyahu will make statements to the media. They will then pay respect to the victims of the Holocaust and on the morning of August 20^th, Netanyahu and his wife would return to Israel.

According to Ukrainian and Israeli sources, the Israeli leadership is not happy with the current official Ukrainian ideology of honering Nazi collaborators (like Bandera) and is going to use its influenec on Zelensky (through jewish oligarch Kolomisky) to pressure Kiev over this topic additionally to a wide range of economic issues.
