While the Tiger Forces and their allies were repelling a joint attack by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, Ahrar al-Sham and other militant groups in southern Idlib, the Syrian Army and Iranian-backed militants liberated the villages of Um Salasil, Ayath, Subayhah, Zahir al-Ward, Umm Khan, Ym Amad Qibili, Umm Ghubar, Umm Ghuraf and Tal Ahmar in eastern Idlib, west of the government-held town of Khanasir.
Thus, pro-government forces exploited the militants’ counter-attack to achieve more gains in eastern Idlib. Now, the army and its allies need to secure about 8 more km to fully cut off militants operating in northeastern Hama from their counterparts in the province of Idlib.

The distance a couple hours before you commented was 3-4 km and that was at 5:32 p.m. in Lebanon reported on Al Masdar, apparently once they both Link up then the attack will be in earnest on the airbase at Abu al Duhur so until then , the ISIS and HTS will continue linking up in that region.

The final push for the airbase will most likely start when the troops from Khanasir are linked up with the troops near the air base. Tomorrow will be another bloody day. Now that the de-escalation zone collapsed alot of days will be bloody.
The Russians and Iranians are playing soft diplomacy with Turkey by accusing outside agitators for trying to disrupt the Peace process and we all know who those agitators are.

Let’s hope there are no more stupid costly intelligence mistakes like those made by the 15 or so whom were captured at Khuwayn , by streaming arrogantly that it took only 4 bullets and no tanks or cannons to capture the village. Things like this lead to your capture after divulging intelligence the enemy didn’t know, this is the problem with those who think arrogantly like this. First rule of warfare is maintain silence during operations until they are complete and not to divulge information in the media as the enemy watches this for intelligence gathering as everyone else does.
This action may result in their deaths and let’s hope others learn the importance of maintaining silence and not divulging important information through arrogant actions ,causing losses that were unnecessary.
