The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) Tiger Forces, the Syrian Republican Guard (SRG), Hezbollah, Liwa al-Quds and other pro-government factions are preparing for a final push to liberate the remaining ISIS-held neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city.
Earlier today, the SAA, the SRG and their allies took a full control over the entire Palmyra-Deir Ezzor highway, the strategic Thurdah Mountains and the nearby areas securing the entire southern part of the city.
Following this success, government troops repelled few ISIS counter-attacks near the Thayyem oil field and west of Baghiliyah village. According to the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq, ISIS members destroyed a battle tank and an armoured vehicle of the SAA with anti-tank guided missiles near the Thayyem oil field.
These advances allowed the SAA, the SRG, Hezbollah and Liwa al-Quds to create conditions for a wider anti-ISIS operation inside Deir Ezzor city. According to local sources, government forces are going to liberate the entire Deir Ezzor city before they cross the Euphrates River.
However, some chance remains that the SAA and its allies will be pushed to corss the Euphrates River in order to block further advances of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the Deir Ezzor countryside.
Nice!

Go away.
Go away moron
New Peugeot 205? This model is discontinued 1998.
What nerve!!
yes they definitely need to block SDF from taking any part of DeZ, or any oilfields!!!!
hope they liberate it fast because Omar oilfields will not wait
Maybe SDF (PKG) can learn a thing or two about liberating cities from the SAA advance in deir ezzor.
Well, maybe they can. SAA will not be liberating DeZ as such though as they always held part of the city. I am sure though that SDF will watch closely what happens in the city and will take pointers if there are any to be had. For the civillians one can only hope it will be swift and without many civillian casualties.
SAA should have enough resource to advance North of DZ, South of DZ and cross the river and advance east to block the SDF advances
I would be concerned the US may bomb the SAA if they cross the river & advance
SAA should crass anyway. This will also show how good protectors Russians are
Unfortunately, we need to see some SAM’s flying around in order to get it thru the warmongers in the US thick skull that the SAA means business…
They only ones who said that were a Commander in the Kurdish army really not an honestly something said by the US, since they all know there is no agreement in that regard not even with the SDF. They possibly already have crossed and haven’t let anybody know yet as the Russian special forces have landed on the other side.
“They only ones who said that were a Commander in the Kurdish army really not an honestly something said by the US”……Woolpuller did you have a mild stroke whilst you were writing this? It makes no sense whatsoever!
US WILL NOT DARE BCUZ IF THEY ATTACK SAA CROSSING RIVER THEN IT WILL POSSIBLE RUSSIA AND SAA WILL ATTACK SDF IN AL TAQBA BASE AND MANBIJ AREA BCUZ TSDF HAS CROSS THE RIVER. AND ALSO IT WILL CREATE PROBLEM FOR US AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL.
SAA and Kurds are now in race to cross river and block each other off
for the Omar field…
I doubt that pocket exists. even if it did the SAA would probably liberate take it within a day. It’s just desert and it’s pretty flat.
“Pretty flat”?? Sorry that is a fail for you in Map Reading 101.
deben cruzar el rió ya ¡¡¡
Need to close that pocket – it will allow planes to come in from that direction in order to land at Deir Ezzor.
The pocket on the other side of the Highway is open desert nowhere to hide and should be considered clear as forces did advance along it. There might be mines that need clearing why it isn’t cleared yet.
Open desert? Into the corner Woolpuller and put your dunce’s hat on. Sixty seconds studying a half decent map such as (Wikimapia) would show you the error of your ways. There are numerous wadi and high points in this pocket. Ridges and hills 300 metres to 400 metres+ high are not uncommon.
Suggestion to SAA: Cross the Euphrates at Mayadin to beat out the kurds…
Why Mayadin? I suspect ISIS are at their strongest their as it is reputed to be their new “capital”.
Maybe because Mayadin has of had a bridge over the river. Using the remains of a destroyed bridge makes for faster construction of a temporary bridge.
The small problem is what you said : SAA is a long way from Mayadin and they first have to take it. It could work though.
There is a branch of the euphrates there that will block/hinder the kurds from approaching the SAA landing and the omar oil fields are there…. Who really gives a crap about isis now a days. They are finished(and have been for quite some time)
The Kurds have no business in the industrial zone of Dier Ezzor , bridgehead south or farther east , the oilfields can not be surrendered to the Kurds .

A Syrian diplomat says the US “should withdraw its military personnel, otherwise, the Syrian army will regard them as a hostile force”
More: http://tass.com/world/964892BEIRUT, September 11. Valeriy Sharifulin/TASS/. The US military presence is “illegal and unacceptable,” as it has not been authorized by the Syrian government, Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad told the Al-Mayadeen TV channel on Sunday.
He noted that the US “should withdraw its military personnel, otherwise the Syrian army will regard them as a hostile force.”
“The actions by the United States and the coalition led by it have no justification, for they are destroying Syria, killing civilians during airstrikes and destroying the economic infrastructure,” the diplomat stressed.
etc etc See: http://tass.com/world/964892
It is now urgent that the Syrians cross the Euphrates, if only to show the Yanks that Americans do not determine the borders of Syria.
se debe cruzar el rió ya ¡¡¡
RIP ISIS at the hands of SAA/pro government militias/Iraqi soldiers and Russian foot soldiers!
