Pro-Kiev forces are preparing a false flag attack against a delegation of the EU Political and Security Committee in Eastern Ukraine, the State Security Ministry of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said in a statement on June 11 citing obtained intelligence data.
The EU delegation is set to visit areas near the contact line between Ukrainian and DPR forces in the region of Donbass in the period from June 13 to June 15.
Accordign to the statement, Ukrainian forces are planning to shoot down a helicopter with the delegation using an Igla man-portable infrared homing surface-to-air missile. This missile already was taken from a weapon depot of the 2nd Assault Battalion of the 95th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This battalion is deployed in the settlement of Verhnetoreckoe.
Thus, the Ukrainian side is going to accuse forces of the DPR and the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) of carrying an attack of the helicopter with the EU delegation.

I posted my views on Russian courage but refrained from commenting on the highly sensitive topic of the Germans in WWII. I am familiar with this documentary which sets out to paint a more balanced picture of Hitler. There are many who take issue with any efforts to rehabilitate Hitler’s reputation, preferring or demanding the consensus remain intact – Hitler was evil.
The problem with this premise is that it is not true, but there is utility to perpetuate the myth. The utility goes beyond simply serving elite interests. The myth hides the reality of what it means to be human. I will start with service to elites which is hardly controversial, but leads to uncomfortable questions.
In the West, the Allies were good with noble intentions, except Russia which was a marriage of convenience – the enemy of my enemy is my freind. And of course, the Axis were evil with sinister intentions. But all pales in comparison to Hitler, the very embodiment of ‘evil’. Focus on the evil enemy and their evil leader serves the interests of the controllers as it obscures the atrocities committed by the allies, which were many.
Propaganda has us believe in a black & white world of ‘good’ nations/people and ‘evil’ nations/people. We know better and so we do not buy into this false narrative of noble Allies that do no wrong, but this disbelief is not extended to the ‘evil’ Axis… and especially Hitler. Why? Because it is actually true? I will show that It cannot be true.
Reducing Hitler to a mere caricature as the embodiment of evil simplifies him at the same time makes him greater than life. And he had to be greater than life. The public has been indoctrinated to believe that the Nazi’s committed unimaginable atrocities. How could a whole nation permit such inhumane barbarism, and even take part in it? If the German people are capable of this, then so can the people of other nations.
Painting the entire German peoples as evil is not going to fly with the piblic. But the German people susceptible to the spell of an evil leader that led them unwittingly down the path to hell is more believable. So with time, the greater than life mythology of Hitler grew until he was no longer even human, morphing into something demonic, the very instrument for the realization of Satan’s plan on Earth.
Hitler had to become a monster with supernatural abilities that enabled him to entrance the German population into committing acts so despicable that no human in their right mind would ever commit. And so we subsume the horror of WWII into this monster as a crutch to keep us focused on the myth and away from the truth about ourselves. Our true nature was the lesson to be gained, at a very high cost, yet we continue to cling to a myth.
What this has done is to make us inhumane. Until we face the truth, that Hitler was human just like us, and accept the implications, we will continue to be inhumane.

The essence of my post is that the story of Hitler is a myth. But the myth is not about his acts, it is about what has happened since his death. Hitler has been elevated to something greater than life, evil, not human. This is the myth and it is perpetuated because to accept that Hitler was merely human like us, means also accepting that there exists within us the potential to be like him. This is the lesson of WWII and if we are to know thyself, we need to heed the lesson and face the truth.
We need to let go of the myth.
