Three groups linked with the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have set up the Jarablus Military Council. This move clearly indicates that the SDF is goning to advance on this strategic town located near the Syrian-Turkish border. Currently, it’s under the control of the ISIS terrorist group.
The SDF groups involved into the move – Kata’ib Furat Jarablus, Katibat Ahrar Jarablus and Kata’ib Suqur Jarablus – also warned Turkish-backed militants from taking the city.
We remind, there were reports on August 21, that various Turkish-backed militant groups under the banner of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) were gathering in Turkey in order to launch a cross-border attack on Jarablus.
