Russian units have taken control of most of Siversk. In the Shypuvate area of the Kharkiv sector, a deployment point for foreign mercenary units was hit by drone strikes. During their latest talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, European leaders did not discuss the issue of territorial return.
Konstantynivka Sector
In the Konstantynivka area, Russian forces are reinforcing their positions near the city. They have taken control of the territories of Pleshcheievka and Nelepivka, creating conditions for further advancement north of the Kleban-Byk Reservoir. This improves the operational situation for groups operating in the Ivanopillia area. In Ivanopillia itself, a counterattack attempt was previously repelled. A group of Ukrainian fighters in vehicles managed to penetrate the center of the settlement under cover of fog but were subsequently dispersed and neutralized by drone strikes.
Sumy Sector
Russian units are conducting combat operations with intense air and artillery strikes. Drone units are also targeting rear facilities and logistics hubs deep within the region. Russian assault groups are advancing slowly through tree lines, while Ukrainian units are mainly adhering to defensive tactics.
There has been an advance of up to 200 meters on two axes of the front. Russian artillery has fired on positions and supply routes in the Ryzhevka area. In one of the mechanized brigades, cases of personnel being assigned atypical tasks, including guarding private facilities within the region, have been recorded.
Kharkiv Sector
In the Kharkiv sector, most activity is concentrated south of Vovchansk, in Vilcha and Liman, as well as in the Melovoye-Khatneye and Lyptsiv areas.
In Vilcha, Russian units have advanced in the eastern and southern parts of the settlement. More than 25 residential properties were captured during the fighting, and the advance in one sector amounted to up to 250 meters. In Liman, Russian assault groups captured and cleared several buildings, advancing 150 meters south and consolidating their positions. West of Liman, Russian forces advanced along tree lines and took control of five strongpoints.
In the Melovoye-Khatneye sector, units advanced along three tree lines for a total distance of up to 400 meters, expanding the control zone in the border strip. In the Shypuvate area, Russian drone operators destroyed a deployment point of foreign mercenary units.
Dobropillia Salient
Combat operations have intensified again in the Dobropillia area. Russian units are advancing near Shakhove and Bilytske.
East of Oktyabrske, the Russians have finished clearing out the area, and the fighting has moved northward toward a spoil heap. In Sofiivka, Russian units advanced to the highway and took control of an industrial enterprise. North of Suvorovo, Russian forces advanced toward Bilytske, establishing control over tree lines and part of a ravine. This allowed them to cut off logistics routes. In the Boikivka area, the front line is undefined, and scattered groups from both sides are present.
Siversk Sector
The Siversk sector remains the most active. Control has been established over most of Siversk, though fighting continues in its western districts.
In the northern sector, Russian assault groups crossed the Siverskyi Donets River east of Zakotne and advanced toward the T-05-13 highway. This creates a threat of an advance into the rear of the Ukrainian forces defending Siversk. The assault on Zakotne continues.
In Siversk, the front line has been straightened on the eastern side. Russian units crossed the Bakhmutka River and captured several fortified positions in the western part of the city. Fighting continues along the railway. The eastern part and the city center are under stable control, constituting more than half of the city’s territory. An undefined «gray zone» persists in the western part, with Ukrainian units holding the outermost western streets. These units are having difficulty transferring reinforcements.
In the southern sector, fighting continues in Sviato-Pokrovske, where Russian units are advancing gradually towards the western outskirts.
Pokrovsk Sector
In the Pokrovsk sector, the main focus is on finishing the operation in Myrnohrad. Units have taken control of the territory east of the city and are continuing to launch airstrikes on the central district.
During the cleanup operations in Myrnohrad, control was established over the area east of the «Skhidnyi» microdistrict, the fortified area north of Balagan, and the territory extending to the lake on Tsentralna Street. Aerial bombs are being used against buildings where groups of Ukrainian fighters are still resisting. In the northwestern part of the city, Russian units advanced in Svitloe, taking control of the western and central parts and forcing Ukrainian fighters to the northwestern outskirts of Myrnohrad.
Advancement continues slowly northward towards the center of Dymytrov with an advance onto Puhachova Street and the beginning of an advance towards the high-rise buildings of the 40th district. The remaining residential buildings in the «Zakhidnyi» microdistrict have been captured.
In the north, in the Rodynske area, heavy fighting occurred before a breakthrough was achieved in the area of the multi-story buildings near Myru Street. This straightened the front line along Shakhterska Slava Street. Fighting continues for the remaining positions in buildings between School No. 35 and Shakhterska Slava Street.
North of the city, the expansion of control along the road continues. In the Hrishyne area, the Ukrainian command deployed additional forces and armored vehicles, and the Russian army is striking identified positions intensively. North of Pokrovsk, after gaining control of the tree lines and widening the corridor separating Myrnohrad from the main forces, the Russian army has resumed its assault on the second pig farm complex.
Conclusion
The most significant progress is observed in the Siversk sector. Units have established control over most of Siversk and crossed key water obstacles, such as the Bakhmutka and the Siverskyi Donets. They have also created real preconditions for the city’s complete encirclement by advancing near Zakotne and Sviato-Pokrovske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the operation to clear Myrnohrad has entered its final phase. Units are systematically narrowing the perimeter, controlling the eastern and northwestern outskirts (Svitloe), and advancing toward the city center. Simultaneously, they are blocking attempts to break the siege from the Hrishyne direction, where the Ukrainian command is assembling reserves. In the Kharkiv and Dobropillia sectors, units are advancing locally but constantly, consolidating their positions in settlements such as Vilcha and Liman and cutting off logistics routes in the Bilytske area, which exhausts the defenders. In the Konstantynivka and Sumy sectors, activity is more limited and focused on consolidating positions (Pleshcheievka and Nelepivka) and delivering fire damage to the rear of the Ukrainian army.
Along with operational changes on the battlefield, shifts are occurring in the political rhetoric of Ukraine’s key allies. According to reports in the German press, European leaders, in recent talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy — including a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and European Council President António Costa — have shifted the emphasis in their final statements. While public statements previously emphasized supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity within the 1991 borders, recent communications increasingly focus on sovereignty guarantees, i.e., ensuring Ukraine’s existence as an independent state. Direct formulations about territories are avoided. Some analysts interpret this change as an acknowledgment of Western elites’ growing fatigue and the necessity of concessions to end the conflict, which will become inevitable as the situation on the front lines continues to develop.
