Nearly 73% people who took part in the Sky News poll were in favor of expansion of UK military operations into Syria

A poll carried out on 1,002 Sky customers showed that 73% of those interviewed would be in favor of strikes against specific targets in Syria. Out of those interviewed nearly 43% supported “boots on the ground” while another 31% were against expanding any operations into Syria
Since the beginning of the one year long Operation Shader RAF tornados and Reaper drones have been targeting IS positions across Iraq, we could now also see this extend to positions inside Syria including UK military boots on the ground.
The UK Prime minister has yet to bring the plan before parliament but justified the course of action as being in the UK’s national interest.
Only time will tell if the UK will expand its operations to include targets on Syrian territory.
