Puigdemont: "Catalan Republic Has Beaten Monarchy"

Deposed President of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont has declared a victory of democracy following the local parliamentary elections in the region.

“I want to congratulate the Catalan people, because they have sent a message to the world. The Catalan republic has beaten the monarchy and article 155. The Spanish state has been beaten. Mr Rajoy and his allies have lost,” Puigdemont said from the Belgian city of Brussels where he is hiding from Spanish security forces.

In the election, Catalan pro-independence parties secured 70 parliamentary seats collectively and got an absolute majority in the 135-seat regional parliament.

The Spanish government ordered the snap elections for December 21 to decide a new regional parliament.

This move was caused by the unilateral declaration of independence by the Catalan government late in October. In turn, the central government suspended the region’s autonomy and sacked its government. The crisis was caused by the October 1 independence referendum in Catalonia, which Madrid declared illegal and void.

You can call me Al

Whoops, I don’t think that was the result Madrid wanted, if I understood correctly.

I smell Soros.

TAzz Mannia

Neither Madrid, neither nationalist parties. Both sides have lost because only 47% voted for pro-independence.

Don’t you find it strange that for the 2nd time the percentage turnout was this low ?.

Merry Christmas.

Ah… hehe, I knew this would happen, and what know, Spankians, huh, another election, more, uh….. “Russian interference” echoing the halls, why not, somebody must be blamed, right, anything?.

And numbers, well, sometimes they are correct, by large, and sometimes used when they are, pimped hard to be “prof” of something, where they think this is an sing of defeat, while the facts are, the opposite, the number used hides the truth, because its not real, what many forget when they use that number is what was it that finally made that number, real, was in fact , intrusion, forced by “law”, to ban and close, locals where the peoples exercised their rights where to be held closed, ballot boxes confiscated, the extent of it was massive, and yet, the number was an win, and the Spankians never approved it anyway, even when they tried their best to destroy the rights of the Catalan People to conduct, aka the referendum, witch they denies the Catalans.

There is no contradictions in this, the facts is clear now, isnt it. What needs to be done is negotiate, nobody wants and can create an planet for them self, and negotiate as leveled partners, whats the f….. problem, we live in an eh… Democracy, dont we, as adults.

What bugged me, was how juvenile and infantile the stupidity and ignorance of the Spankians, that was an downer, and did not impress me, in fact it made me doubt the ability of common f…. sense to prevail to an uncertainty, and on top of it confirmed, get an grip, there is a new nation coming.

Yes, they have to negociate but always under the empire of the law. There´s no nation/state/country coming. Catalonia is already considered a country/nationality in the spanish constitution and nationalists (47%) don´t have enough power to impose their will to the non nationalists (53%).Most of the catalan people are against independence as we saw yesterday. The facts are completelly unclear now, i don´t understand your conclusions at all. In fact, headlines today are like “uncertainty continues”. Talking about the numbers, yesterday independence obtained less votes than in the “referendum”, how is it possible? If the pseudoreferendum was heavily repressed and the ballot boxes confiscated, how did they get more votes than in the most participated regional elections in history? Because independence supporters were lying now and then. It´s obvious that you are biased, why do you insult “spankians”? Respect please.

Merry Christmas.

Madrid: Those da*n Catalans, they’re going to keep on having snap elections until they either have no one left to vote for or until they get it right!

TAzz Mannia

In fact elections have been won by a non-nationalism party. And adding the votes of all nationalims parties and pro-independence they only account for 47%. So, there is a big problem for both sides. Pro-indenpendent parties only sum with pro-anarchist party called CUP and only by adding seats in parlamient. Not in votes.

Brave man speaking from Brussels. Another crook. When I see some of the people in Barcelona yelling for feebies then you know who supports this split.

Go to former Yugoslavia and see how great things are. Educated young people leaving by the droves. Had one last week asking for a job.

Someone here said they smell Soro’s underwear. I smell CIA and UK’s MI6 as well.
