Putin Fell Into Biden’s Trap

Illustrative Image

On February 10th, Russia’s RT News headlined “NATO to station permanent force in east – Stoltenberg”, and reported — basically admitted — that Putin’s main international objective of preventing continuance of NATO’s enlargement right up to Russia’s borders was boomeranging and producing the exact opposite result, an acceleration of NATO’s enlargement:

The change comes after the Russian offensive in Ukraine, the bloc’s chief says

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that the bloc will deploy a permanent full-scale military force on the eastern flank to deter Russia. The move comes in response to Moscow’s military campaign against Ukraine.

In an interview published by The Telegraph on Saturday, Stoltenberg explained that the US-led military organisation has been focused on “a very fundamental transformation” in order to better reflect the “new reality” in Europe.

“We have now asked our military commanders to provide options for what we call a reset, a more longer-term adaptation of NATO,” he said, adding that the decisions on the matter are expected at the bloc’s summit in Madrid, Spain in June.

This is part of the reset which we have to make, which is to move from tripwire deterrence to something which is more about deterrence by denial or defense. This is already in process.

Stoltenberg said last month that the bloc had 40,000 troops “under direct command,” mostly in Eastern Europe. The group’s individual members are supplying Kiev with weapons, ranging from anti-tank and anti-aircraft missile systems to tanks and armored fighting vehicles.

Read more EU now NATO’s ‘economic department’ – Russia

Moscow has repeatedly stated that it views NATO’s expansion eastward as a threat to its security, and listed Ukraine’s aspirations to join the bloc one day as one of the reasons for launching its offensive.

This admission comes after, on April 2nd, RT had already headlined “Finland can join NATO without referendum – president”. On April 7th, Reuters bannered “Prospect of Finland, Sweden joining NATO discussed at Brussels meeting: State Dept. official”. On April 8th, CNN headlined “US readies for long-term European security ramp-up after Russia’s invasion”, and opened: “The top US military general this week endorsed creating permanent US bases in Eastern Europe as a response to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.” On April 9th, CNN bannered “Finland and Sweden could soon join NATO, prompted by Russian war in Ukraine”, and opened: “Finland and Sweden could soon join NATO, moves that would likely infuriate Moscow and that officials say would further underscore Russia’s strategic error in invading Ukraine.”

The person who basically controls whether or not NATO will expedite, retard, or else entirely block, a new country’s (such as Ukraine, or Finland, or Sweden) being admitted into the U.S.-created anti-Russian military alliance, which is NATO, is the President of the United States, and no one else. NATO is an extension of that one individual’s geostrategy. All U.S. allies (vassal nations) must adhere to that geostrategy.

By Russia’s invading Ukraine before Ukraine invaded its breakaway former Donbass region (which the U.S. and its NATO anti-Russian alliance had for years been training, arming, and preparing, Ukraine to do), Russia thereby became the international ‘villain’ in this war (simply by being the first of the two to invade, and, so, widely considered to be ‘the aggressor’ in it), and, thereby, scared so many people in the nearby neutralist countries, into wanting their own Government to join the anti-Russian alliance ‘for safety’s sake’ against a Russian invasion such as Russia had just done to Ukraine, even though (and few of these people probably even had thought much about this) by doing that, their own land will then become among the ones against which Russia’s missiles and nuclear weapons will become targeted against (and are not now being targeted against). It’s an invitation, in other words, to their own becoming direct targets in the U.S.-planned World War III, which the U.S. Government (ever since at least 2006) has been planning to ‘win’ — and no longer for the U.S. to be using its nuclear weapons only in order to PREVENT a global nuclear war from ever breaking out.

Putin Fell Into Biden’s Trap

President Joe Biden speaks during a press conference at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, on March 24, 2022

Biden’s plan to conquer Russia is being skillfully carried out as a continuation of the plan that his predecessor, the Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama, had brilliantly started secretly and only privately by no later than 2010, and which then started actively being planned within the Administration and the top level of Google corporation by no later than 23 June 2011, and that was held-off from enabling Putin to become aware of the plan’s possible existence until 2012, after Obama would become re-elected to a second term. Prior to that election, Obama had successfully deceived Putin (just as he had earlier deceived the Nobel committee) into believing that the U.S. wanted, in his second term of office, to come to a mutually amicable arrangement with Russia, so that both countries would be able to move forward together in peace and continue to have the (ever since 1945) existing nuclear meta-strategy, of “M.A.D.” or Mutually Assured Destruction — meaning that nuclear weapons would NEVER be used by either side for any aggressive purpose, but ONLY in order to RESPOND to an attacker that is first to use nuclear weapons against it. In America’s secret 2006 change-over to now planning to use its nuclear weapons in order to blitz-attack Russia so fast that Russia’s retaliatory weapons would be destroyed and disabled within just five minutes or even less, “M.A.D.” became replaced, in U.S. planning, by “Nuclear Primacy” — the plan to attain ultimately that extreme degree of nuclear supremacy so as to then blitz-invade and, basically, just annihilate, Russia. Putin was fooled by Obama, and therefore he was almost totally unprepared for Obama’s February 2014 coup (run by Victoria Nuland) that grabbed Ukraine, whose nearest border to Moscow is within just a five-minute missile-striking distance from hitting the Kremlin — beheading “The Bear.”

The intended future from this is, of course, a world in which the U.S. Government will be the dictator to ALL countries, and the castrated United Nations that U.S. President Harry S. Truman’s Administration shaped, will become totally replaced by whatever America’s aristocracy — the billionaires who effectively own all successful U.S. national politicians and thereby control that Government — want. It will be like a vast corporation, that’s controlled by its top few stockholders. This will be the world that coming generations will be living in, unless the main countries that are trying to prevent that — Russia and China in particular — will, somehow, become enabled to reverse the direction that the world now seems to be hurtling into (regardless of what the publics everywhere might want). Our descendants will, now, likely be experiencing that world. This is what is actually now at stake, for everybody, and especially for their descendants. It is at stake now in Ukraine, and, sadly, everywhere. The future is at stake there, for everywhere.

I get that a lot of you twats see the loss of the boat as the winning of the war, what I dont get is how fucking dumb one has to be to think the sinking of a ship is going to win a war being fought on land? Case in point Ukraine lost its flag ship weeks ago nobody gave a rats ass because the war is on the land. In addition its the black sea fleets “flag “ship. From 1982 ! Which should tell you something right there. It while 40 years old is ten years newer than the Russian tanks that have been destroyed. While Russian tanks look old Ukraine has them beat by a decade Its like watching a fucking re-enactment of ancient warfare at this point.

Err, Ukraine lost it’s entire naval capability, is completely blockaded across its only sea access, and is fast losing control of its operational ports. Ukraine has rather larger shipping problems, than Russia incurring a small fire on a cruiser, that sustained relatively minor damage.

What’s really happening how can rush win when nato is ruthless. What about Finland and Sweden joining nato. I’m proud of Russia standing up to the bully but how can they challenge and defeat the devil.

SaharaWinds

Fuck Finland and Sweden – these counties are totally controlled by the Zio-agenda, they are now basically single party states, run by dominant coalitions of Feminists and Left Wingers who have been taught to hate their own Nordic culture and historical legacies. Any political opposition to this is relentlessly attacked by the state, and its mainstream media, and the very livelihoods of any opposition figures are attacked and pursued. This is so that no one else will speak up, and will conform, after an example has been made of those who did not. This is how the “mainstream left” operates in these countries now. These states are doomed to the Zio-agenda, of completely dismantling any ethically homogeneous European state, and its traditional millennial old culture.

Sounds like this guy works for the MSNBC and the CIA. The empire stupidly pushed Russia into doing what Russia should have done in 2014. Another article? Southfront is unusually active today.

There was nothing Putin could do to prevent Sweden and Finland joining NATO. They are not particularly important strategically, NATO is already in Norway and Estonia so Russia is threatened from the North-West anyway. Ukraine in NATO is the real danger and that will be prevented.

Perhaps the fact that by the time the procedural hurdles are overcome there will be no – or little – independent Ukraine and the last thing they will want to do is go near anything smelling of NATO?

Ukraine will soon be split into several parts:

Novorossiya, including the Kherson, Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhia, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Nikolayev and Kharkov districts will be liberated and then vote to join Russia.

Transcarpathia will probably secede and vote to join Hungary. In order to accept this, Hungary will probably have to leave the E.U. and NATO.

The region South-west of Odessa will be liberated and presented with the choice of joining Novorossiya and thus Russia, or declaring independence and then joining Romania. The same be true of Chernivtsi Oblast and perhaps another one or two. Oh, and Snake Island, with its colorful, if fake, history.

Of course, the citizens of Lvov Oblast will be allowed to vote. My guess is that they, like everyone else, will want to leave Ukraine like lemmings. Ukraine was already the poorest country of Europe before the special military operation. Having lost a years crops, access to the sea, the entire industrialised east, it will probably not be a very attractive country to live in. To say nothing that everyone belonging to a minority has been suffering the oppression of 8 years’ neonazi regime. So Lvov district will probably join Poland, under the auspices of the Russian army. This will have some interesting repercussions: Poles, who are accustomed to seeing Russians as the ones who have been fscking their country for the last century or two, will see that by a strange twist of history, this time Russians shed their blood in order (among other things) to liberate the Ukrainian-occupied part of historical Poland. Of course, the NATO government of Poland will refuse the gift, and do everything in its power to keep the Lvov oblast under Ukrainian occupation. I don’t see this government lasting long and I don’t see the one succeeding it remaining in either NATO or the E.U..

A few oblasts around Kiev will initially remain Ukrainian, for no other reason than the fact that nobody will want them. The new Ukraine, however, will see its state apparatus reorganised, with neonazis expelled from it under the control of Russian police. After that, elections will be held. Having learned all the crimes of the clown’s regime, the people who already voted for a detente with Russia will – as always happens in elections after a war – vote for the most pro-Russian candidate. The new government will try to rebuild the country, asking the entire world for assistance. My guess is the only countries willing to help will be Russia and China. Ukraine, of course, will be only too happy to be rid of the burden of a military. They will probably sign a treaty with Russia – and why not, China, to guard their borders for them. After a generation or two, it is possible that young Ukrainians will volunteer to fight along the Russian army, if need be, just as Chechens do today. Hopefully, by that time there will be no wars to fight in.

Just saying…

Razr

I would agree with you on almost everything you’ve written, but a bit unsure about the distribution of Ukrainian Territories thought.

Ms Quito

Excellent analysis. My map of Ukraine has been undergoing serious revision since Feb 24. First I thought just the Donbas would be liberated. Then I thought Russia would liberate everything east of the Dnipr. Now I think Russia may excise everything west of the vertical linking Kiev to Transnistria & all of that, whether Russian-speaking or not, will return to its rightful jurisdiction.

Kiev is an interesting conundrum. Although its usefulness to Russia is minimal, and if the political elites left to manage the western land-locked partitioned rump made it a hill to die on, I’d say let’em have it. However, if, as you suggest, it will fall quietly to Russian jurisdiction as west Ukraine disintegrates, I think that would be wonderful.

After all, Kiev is the cradle of Russian civilization. If it becomes part of Russian Federation territory, they could really invest in it as a cultural / historical center for tourism, education, the arts. Imagine, the Russians could finance historical museums, performance artists, theatres and art galleries focused on exposing the truth behind the West colluding w Ukraine Banderites to orchestrate & finance the 2014 anti-Russia agenda that gave birth to the Maidan Coup by nurturing Nazis and fomenting Russia hatred.

In this way, Russia could make Kiev the symbol of poetic justice made manifest. This is my hope.

Zel-faglord-lenzky

Yes it is very very worrying the Sweden will hard side with NATO because they offer an immense vital space for front line operations for more unnecessary aggression on Russia. Swedish defence companies are cartelized with british and americans, it is a fact they will be forced to join.

Incredibly enough nobody knows that Spain was menaced with inside attacks if they didn’t join NATO.

Clyde

Spain has never completely come to terms with the Civil War. This is the “west” the Ukrotards think exists.

Snagger

This eventuality just raises the stakes for the intensity of the Russia/NATO war to come. Annihilation will be the primary objective.

aglio

This is indeed a crisis. They knew that joining NATO would be the cause of the disaster, but the warmongers did not hesitate to make Norway and Finland the next battlefield. Unless their purpose was to spark a WWⅢ, it cannot be explained.

Rasputin

How is it a world war when Russia has no allies who can or will stand with them in battle? It would just be a Turkey shoot of 20+ allies destroying Russias infrastructure and military complex.

Until Russian people revolt and drag Putin out into the streets and put him up against the wall.

aglio

Well, Volksgenosse, the first thing you have to know is that you are dealing with the largest nuclear-armed state in the world, and you don’t want to know that the consequences of pushing it into a corner.

So what has Russia achieved why pick a fight with evil forces that will stop at nothing to consume the world.

SaharaWinds

Because the US based Neo-Cons are sociopath ideologues, who openly refute two millennia of international relations – meaning traditional statecraft, diplomacy and compromise. The US Neo-Cons seek complete global domination (PNAC), and the complete political social control of US and EU as tools to achieve this, at any cost. A confrontation between Neo-Con controlled NATO and Russia was inevitable, given the one sided Neo-Con demands, and don’t be fooled, because another inevitable Neo-Con driven NATO confrontation with China is waiting in the wings. However, history has repeatedly shown that zealot like control freaks tend to lose in the long run, and the Soviet Union’s resistance, and victory – yes, the Soviet’s primarily defeated the Wehrmacht single handedly on Soviet territory – shows this. Oh, and then there was another self grandiose megalomaniac sociopath called Napoleon, who tried much the same thing.

I don’t think that Ukraine will enter NATO. All they need is arms and they will get them. Being in NATO means that others send troops to defend NATO members. Ukraine doesn’t need troops. They have potentially millions of them. No need to send more. Training of ukro troops can happen abroad.

Meh, since the Afghanistan pullout (or even earlier) it’s clear that the USA is in terminal decline as superpower. What this article says, while to some extent “credible” is utterly shallow: the Ukraine conflict (which was unavoidable considering the criminal attitude of Maidan-Ukraine against its own Russian-speaking citizenry and against Russia by means of continuously demanding NATO membership) is clearly resulting in the demolition of the US financial world system, the shattering of its key-est alliances in Arabia and India, a huge global resources and food problem, etc.

There are two things in which the USA benefits but they are short term: (1) a rally call in NATO (previously in “brain dead” stage according to Macron) and (2) profits from selling (at higher price and worse quality) of what Europe denies itself from buying to Russia (fossil fuels and grain in essence). But that’s not a long term plan, just worthless terminal senile opportunism. It’s barely any better than Brezhnev, very similar to Biden in being both hatefully senile for such a high profile command position and also very much “more of the same but worse”, i.e. unable and unwilling to promote the much necessary reforms.

The USA exists in a terminal Brezhnev 2.0 era: it’s barely a zombie, a dead man walking. What it is “achieving” is turning Europe into a third world semi-colony but that can only result (in few years) into a brutal European “nationalist” challenge (and by nationalist, I mean not ethnic nationalist, which may or not be part of the equation, but notably Euro-nationalist, anti-USA type of continental nationalism).

In the USA as well, the situation is so extremely bad that it’s unavoidably bound to have a major implosion and probably a revolution in due time. After all our historical experience suggests that the losers of cold wars (and the USA has already lost Cold War II against China) implode catastrophically. In the USSR case (archaic socialism) it produced national capitalism, in the USA (very advanced capitalism) it can only produce some new form of socialism.

hash
hashed
datrum

You are right about USA in crisis. Yes Biden is an idiot and USA is heading to economy meltdown. EU is not much better. But west is in political crisis all the time. Nothing new and economy will recover within few years. Happens all the time. The problem is that EU militarily is severely depleted because of corupt politicians. So we need to mass produce man pad, rockets, drones and other weapons. And side effect will be military defeat of Russian invasion to Ukraine. What is not to like? We have many years or decades to work on it.

Maju

Joe Biden is the Leonidas Brezhnev of the West, not only in his inoperative senile craze of trying to do the same over and over and then surprised that it doesn’t work, but also because Brezheve rallied the Warsaw Pact with his invasion of Czechoslovakia (the very same night I was born, curse him!) just as Biden is doing it with his putsch and provoked war in Ukraine (yes, Kiev provoked the war under Washington’s direction and applause, I just watched a video of Zelensky’s advisor three years ago predicting this almost to the last detail). It works in the short term but it’s disastrous in the long term and the long term in this case is much less than 22 years, 12 at most. Of course, Biden, like Brezhnev, will be dead by then so why should such barely alive mummies care?

Gerontocracy is the worst.

When Libya happened, I realised that Putin would have to fight against NATO sooner or later. I told someone on twitter who used the name Putin, just that. When you are being attacked and have extreme hostility shown to you and then you are attacked for fighting back, fighting back WAS the correct course of action. Really China & India should help Russia as this is not at all a fight against Russia and Ukraine but it is a fight of NATO hiding behind Ukraine and using Ukraine to be their front, their proxies who wage THEIR fight against Russia. Just imagine that Ukraine is defeated by Russia, surrenders, there is a peace treaty and a pro Russian govt which is hostile to NATO is in power. If NATO would even allow this to go so far, after that the hordes of NATO would come into both Ukraine AND Russia and blow them all up as much as they could as fast as they could, with mass casualties. The LIES and LIES and LIES and DECEPTIONS and the MONEY systems in place make this occur. Russia, India AND China need to develop a way to enable those in other nations to trade with them and bank with them, without using the $, E and £. If we can even dump some of our money into the alternative currencies AND trade with them, so much the better. If the Chinese and Russian banks can issue alternative currency and currency to keep in one’s PURSE and wallet, which would be acceptable in in a wide range of nations, we can swap some of our savings and spare money into these.

When Georgian war happened in 2008. I realized that Russia had to fight NATO sooner or later. Maidan putsch only proved it would be sooner than later…

The maharaja

Well you make the mistake of thinking there is a united front with China India and Russia. India is being loyal because of its history with Russia which is very honorable. However India is no fan of China and that is not going away. China is in it for China. The US was stupid as shit to trade away Russia for Ukraine. Russia would have been the key to US keeping China in check. Perhaps that is still the plan but they have to remove Putin first? China should be able to see this… yet being China they are all too happy to let Russia be ground down and will step in only last min when everything is on sale and rock bottom. The more pain Russia is in the better the deal China gets. China is unique in geo politics. It has massive economic power and its population well you know. No other country can stand alone like that, India has population but not the economic power. Russia has neither population or the economic power…it needs friends and China is not really that friendly…its just profitable for them to side with Russia at this time.

Put it this way, both Russia and China have gone along with Sanctions on the DPRK numerous times. Both fucked over North Korea for the sake of a dollar. How many times has Russia done the bidding of Israel? Actions speak louder than words and for all the crying about petro dollars and the demise of the Americant empire has anyone in Ukraine put a stop to the oil? how is it that the pipe lines that carry all of western europes oil and LNG have not been hit? Not by Ukraine who wishes to stop Russia? Not by Russia? That is the power of the dollar right there. Pretty pathetic really. Especially for those in the fight as they are the ones truly getting fucked over by the governments on both sides.

datrum

Russia is economically irrelevant. They have only Oil&Gas. If west can get away without oil they don’t need Russia at all. Let’s buy oil from Iran instead of Russia.

Ghibli Drivetrain

Hahhahhahahah. The Neo-Con cabal that runs US foreign policy possibly hate only country more that Russia, that would be Iran. The primary regional competitor to Israel in ME is Iran. The US based Neo-Cons are fixated on Israeli security, as most are ethnic Ashkenazim Jews. Iran straddles the key natural Geo-strategic mid point between ME and Asia, and unlike marginal, tiny, Israel, Iran has vast natural oil and gas reserves. Short version: the US based Neo-Cons are already doing EVERYTHING to stop other nations buying Iranian crude oil on international markets, they have a full blown decades old trade war against Iran. Way too funny.

Last edited 2 years ago by Ghibli Drivetrain
datrum

Yes, there is no other way now. NATO must support Ukraine at all cost and Putin must lose. There is no other way. Fortunately, west is very good in mass production so it should be easy to give Ukraine several times more arms Russia has now. But you are mistaken that NATO is interested in Russia territory. Do you know what happened in Iraq. USA conquered Iraq and threw everything away. Also no EU country is interested to go to Russia. All we need is just bankrupt Russia and remove Putin from power. We need someone like Jeltzin or Rogozin to destroy Russia. It is near.

Ghibli Drivetrain

Hahhhaaaa. The current USA installed Ukrainian Kiev regime is already finished. It is just a matter of time. Tick-Tock. Russia is not going to stop now, because of some batches of old inventory weapons from various NATO states being delivered via Poland and Romania. Russian satellites track these deliveries and where they are being sent. If Russia deems them a threat they then send cruise missiles to strike the military depot site. Russia sees this conflict an an existential exercise. It is not not going to just end anytime soon, and Ukraine in current form may well cease to exist in the long term. It’s likely Ukraine will eventually be partitioned at the Dnieper. Ukraine has historically been called “The Ukraine” for a very simple reason, it was never a homogeneous state, or population, but a collection of territories, that were slowly incorporated into the westerly point of the Russian Empire (Ukraine literally means ‘the frontier region’), and later some further westerly-most territory was incorporated under Soviet expansion by Stalin.

Ghibli Drivetrain

Am from west, met some Serbs at professional work conference in 2011-12, in a third party country, and these Serbs (mixed with Bosnian-Serbs) all fully understood this show-down was coming way back then. They just politely said it, that this was an inevitable confrontation coming, based on NATO’s expansionist actions since mid 1990’s, politely dropped in an otherwise relaxed social setting. Never forgot it. The US Neo-Con’s Ukrainian Maiden coup was actually a huge signpost they were right, it just took eight more years before Russia was fully ready to decisively act. The situation with China is actually much the same, an inevitable confrontation waiting to happen, as the US Neo-Cons refuse to accept any major international political and economic competition, and are completely fixated on fantasy of full spectrum global dominance.

I’m not worried about Sweden and Finland. There was a peaceful status quo for decades. Nato, no Nato no change. No Nazi in Scandinavia. Scandinavia is not Ukraine. They will keep US on leash over up there

It’s not Putin’s Trap but Dzerzhinsky’s Trap. Zenlinsky was talked into starting a war on the promise NATO would help and I don’t mean by getting a few small missiles and old Soviet worn out machines. Zenlinsky thought NATO Forces would be rushing in to help fight Russia but turns out he is on his own Zenlinsky is balking which is upsetting the NATO countries but he should watch out he is a pawn of theirs not a allied. He can and will be replaced if he goes to far!

Putin didn’t fall into anyone’s trap but his own. Because he is unintelligent. And unsophisticated. And the only foreign policy is that of deceit and brute force. The problem with running a propagandist authoritarian state is that you don’t know anymore truth from falsehood. You need to keep two narratives in your head, the one you use to control the populace and the one if the real world situation. It’s very easy to fall into your own propaganda. And also Duginism us a relatively new ideology, it was never tested before in real life. Like any ideology, duginism need to pass the test of reality. It needs to be proved that it’s a coherent ideology, not only in theory but also in practice. Duginism assumes that the concept of the Eurasian cultural block is self evident and self imposing. When in truth, local ethnical and nationalistic identities dominate the Imperial and global ones. The very basis of duginism is cultural imperialism very similar to the Mahometan type. Which has been shown not to be tenable

There is a lot of truth here.

Putin launched a war he did not want to fight. How stupid can he get?

His plan? They will get scared and accept honorable terms, then we go back to business as usual.

Wow. When you have long empty tables full of stupid yes men, these are the kind of decisions that get made.

The New World Order has a religious undercurrent. In addition to being godless and power hungry materialists, they are simultaneously religious zealots. Either you bend to the New Religion or get destroyed.

Against this Putin committed 200,000 men when a million would barely be enough. He stated that he would leave as soon as a treaty was signed, and did not target infrastructure.

Once the world saw that Russia was not entering cities, they knew Russia would lose. No fear, no surrender. That was the war in the north. In the south they seem intent on permanently taking territory and have no problems entering and destroying a city such as Mariupol.

Fake

The enlargement of NATO is good for NATO but I don’t think Russia will be surprised. Finland and Russia haven’t liked each other much since WW2. Sweden joined the cause of the Germans in WW2 as a silent partner. They are buying F35s from the USA (which was a joint program development for US allies) that kind of gives away who’s side they were on to begin with. The Ukraine conflict just forced them to declare what side they are on for the world to see. Much like Australia just did with AUKUS and their purchase of Nuclear submarines. If the Chinese didn’t know that the English speaking countries would stick together before that then my sympathies to them. I don’t believe this is a war for land. Russia is the largest country on the planet with a population of 150 million. They have every resource imaginable. Russian problems are internal problems that they work to fix. Solutions to problems throughout history happen very slowly. That’s true for every civilizations history. This is a war for the supremacy of the US dollar. Rubberband theory is that one nation will separate itself from the others like one finger with a rubberband wrapped around another finger. The more the first finger separates from the second finger the more pull there is on the second finger and the harder it is for the first finger to keep pulling. The Belt and road initiative was the rubberband snapping back and it scares the West as do the significant advancements in stand off weaponry. The Western worlds chief export is inflation. We print money and the rest of the world gives us stuff. This has been true since 1971 when we went off the gold standard. That’s 50 years ago, it probably shouldn’t have taken so long for the resource producing nations to catch on but it did because everyone was rich and watching Baywatch at the time. The system of everyone working hard and selling rare earth minerals and oil for green paper was never going to last so the USA has been building a military and Navy like they were at war the entire time. Because what supports the US dollar is aircraft carrier groups and those were built with the resources paid for in Fiat dollars from producer countries. In which the USA won because they used the enemy’s own resources against them. The problem for the West then becomes their own desires. For 50 years the USA has not needed a balanced budget because of World reserve currency status. That sounds nice until you realize that not a single USA politician alive today knows how to work within a balanced budget. How will they close a 2 Trillion dollar deficit? The answer is conquest. He who controls the money controls the world. Rubberband theory being active and all the East was catching up. The West still had the lead and said if we will have war then we will have it now (while still in the lead). Strategically it makes sense but history judges by a different formula. All matter of surprises abound in war. Desperate people do desperate things and only time proves a man a king or a fool. Here’s my guess as to the history of the next 10 years. The English speaking world will circle the wagons around the US dollar and will begin to include South America as well. Russia and China will begin to catch up the holes they have in their economies. The US will suck vassal states for what they have. Which of course is the fate of all men who won’t stand up and be counted from the time of the very first men. For I do not ask a cow about fairness before I make my hamburger. The most important part though is that WW3 is 10 years away. Russia and China aren’t ready. History is written and the playbook says Germany and Japan weren’t ready for WW2. I doubt Russia and China fall for the same tricks as a sanction war or an oil embargo. They are also much larger than the Axis powers ever were. To quote Einstein “I have no idea how WW3 will be fought but I can tell you how WW4 will be fought. With sticks and stones”.

Russian will be broken up. Putin knew this, knew he had to fight against this, but when the time came he did not have the will to win.

They are still playing Elden Ring in Kiev.

Who needs Russia? No one. Well, we need Russian OIl&Gas but no use for the rest. The problem is they keep invading countries.

If Russia takes Crimea, Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkov, Mykolaev and Odessa, Putin couldn’t care less if NATO assholes bring themselves right up to the border. It already happens with the Baltic republics without any problems. The Finns and Swedes will only show themselves to be pathetic at the same time that Marine takes France OUT of NATO. Good luck to her by the way, although I believe many midnight ballot boxes will mysteriously pop up in election night… God, western Europe could be living in wealth and abundance right now, and look where we are. I loathe these politicians. Good luck to Orban and Vucic by the way, congratulations.

The author failed to take into account the inevitable fall of the dollar as the reserve currency and the EU’s coming financial crisis due to the sanctions and high cost or lack of energy. We’re seeing de-dollarization accelerate right after SWIFT sanctions and Russia’s foreign reserves were stolen by the US. NATO might indeed expand to Russia’s eastern flank but will they have money and resources to stay there? NATO might even collapse after the EU’s financial indigestion kicks in from the sanctions.

Blackrock’s trap , deep state’s trap , neither . A reversal happened Putin sprung the trap before they were ready . So instead of reacting to the Ukraine actions they dance to Putin’s tune .

How do you work that out ? Biden and the west were saying on December 7th 2021 that Russia better not invade Ukraine, the Americans commented on unusual Russian troop movements in November, it was a trap and Putin and Russians walked right into it, now they must win, its existential

Of course it was a trap, not even a well hidden one, its been obvious for years what the usa was up to

One can see it that way aswell. USA surely wanted this conflict, but not sure if US predicted how badly they lost support on world stage and that only their most loyal puppets will embrace sanctions against Russia. Ofc, there are some countries in limbo, and have no consistency in UN voting and use UN as a proof that they condemn Russia, but on the other side, when US asks them to impose sanctions, they will refuse. And even more important, China and India will not do even that.

However this ends, and even if Russia doesn’t achieve all goals or it traps itself into a very long conflict, some outcomes are already clear. Europeans will be the ones who will suffer the most, both economicaly and strategicaly. US has only exposed what it was obvious – they are in a rapid decline and no longer worth to call a superpower. China and India improved their status on international stage significantly, and specially India emerged as an indenpendant leader, who will hold one of the pillars of multipolar world. Russia itself has lost something, but gained elsewhere. Most important for Russia is that hopefully they will abandon illusions to please Europeans and the West, and try to look elsewhere, where they are treated with respect.

Zuesse is considered pretty hip on the topic of Russia. He just likes to provoke argument. I know from personal experience, having argued with him by email through some 37 exchanges. Wow.

i dont see any reason for anyone in Sweden or Finland to fear Russian aggression towards them, and it is just an excuse to as these politicians have been all bought out, and want to ruin their country by a totally nonsensical idea that they somehow feel an urge to join NATO. I mean why provoke Russia unless you want them to attack you, well they are going to get what Ukraine got, and that will take no more than a month. So wont it be better for these fools to stop the antic and the provocation. Oh I forgot, they got paid. I am sure that the sheep that live there at least have a say, or do they.

How is it a “trap”? Given the corruption of the Biden Crime Family, this mess over Ukraine was going to happen, in my humble opinion. I don’t think the war will last much longer in Ukraine. Europe doesn’t want a war, and it is hysterical warmongering to think Russia would invade any other country there. Russia certainly doesn’t want a war with NATO. How the war in Ukraine will end, is anyone’s guess at this point.

I think it will end by Russia securing all the DPR LPR territory and then withdrawing, except for backup troops. The DPR LPR will declare independence (again) and apply to join the Russian Federation. That step will probably be delayed awhile to let the West calm down. Russia will probably hang on the Kherson region and the whole Azov coast. The question in my mind is, will Russia take Odessa? If so, Russia would have the whole Black Sea coast as well, all the way to Moldava. Ukraine would then be landlocked. I don’t think Ukraine would ever settle for this. The war would go on forever. So I expect Russia won’t take Odessa. We’ll see.
