On October 16, several videos documenting some of the Russian military’s recent operations against Kiev forces surfaced online.
11 of the videos show dozens of attacks with FPV suicide drones, grenade-dropping drones, Lancet loitering munitions, and interceptor drones that targeted Ukrainian troops, posts and equipment, across several directions within the special military operation zone over the last few days.
Notably, one of the Lancet strikes destroyed a P-18 aerial surveillance radar deployed near the settlement of Chervone in the Kharkiv direction.
The remaining six videos show airstrikes with UMPK-equipped guided glide bombs that targeted Ukrainian positions in Kharkiv, Donetsk and several other directions.
One of the airstrikes destroyed a crossing over the Siverskyi Donets River used by Kiev forces near the settlement of Raihorodok in Donetsk.
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced in its daily briefing that missile, drone and artillery strikes hit “one American-made AN/MPQ-65 radar station, a control cabin and a launcher of an American-made Patriot air defence system, and struck power objects that ensured operation of Ukrainian defence industry enterprises, as well as temporary deployment areas of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 146 areas,” over the past 24 hours.
During the same period, Russian air defenses shot down six guided aerial bombs, one American-made HIMARS projectile, and 278 fixed-wing drones, the ministry said, adding that six drone boats were also destroyed in the Black Sea by the Russian Navy.
According to the ministry, Kiev forces have lost 667 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 90,559 drones, 632 air defense systems, 25,533 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,602 multiple rocket launchers, 30,505 artillery pieces, and 44,089 support vehicles since the start of the special military operation.
