On March 25, radical militants blew up a bridge on the strategic M4 highway in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib.
According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), the Kafir bridge, located near the city of Jisr al-Shughur in northwest Idlib, was blown up by “Jihadists” in the early morning.

The vicinity of the Kafir bridge is tightly controlled by al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and the Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP). Such an attack couldn’t have happened without the approval or knowledge, of these two terrorist groups.
Opposition activists said the bridge was blown up to hinder Russian and Turkish plans to conduct joint patrols on the M4. The highway links the port city of Lattakia with Syria’s industrial hub, Aleppo city.
Reopening the strategic M4 highway is the keystone of the Russian-Turkish agreement on Greater Idlib reached on March 5th.
Turkey is yet to fulfil it commitment and reopen the highway, which remains under the control of terrorist groups. This hesitation by Ankara could lead to a new confrontation in Greater Idlib. The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies will likely try to reopen the highway by force, if political means fail.
Keep it up fellas, it will not matter at all in the end. Further, now that you have blown it up, your access is also limited.

Blowing their bridges seems to be a habit for the terrorists in Syria. When the time comes, it will proabaly buy a few hours.
Those 4X4 trucks will get mud on their tires, what a terrible day. West of the city of Jisr – al -Shughur, yes that west side seems what they are trying to protect the most. Likely because it is closest to Russian bases. There need to be some ‘joint patrols’ from the west-side.

Hi Mustapha, how are you Turks coping with the coronavirus, not so good from what I just read, and it’s pretty clear the terrorists are working on Erdogan’s orders, the blown bridge on the Latakia side of the highway and a gaping big hole dug through the Saraqib side of the highway seem to have occurred under his patronage.
The radicals blew up the bridge using Turkish supplied explosives and they did it with Erdogan’s approval, and they also dug up the highway near Saraqib and used Turkish bulldozers to do it, because nothing happens here without Erdogan’s approval, he’s the puppetmaster behind it all.
