The October 8 Israeli strikes on Syria’s T-4 air base destroyed an unidentified target near the base’s main runway, satellite images revealed.
The images, which were posted on Twitter by Aurora Intel, show the marks of a large explosion on an apron located at the very end of the T-4 main runaway. The target may have been an air-defense vehicle, a radar system or weapons containers.

A military source told the Syrian Arab News Agency that the Israeli strikes were launched from the US-occupied southeastern Syrian area of al-Tanf. Six service members as a result of the strikes.
In the morning following the attack, the wreckage of a Soviet-made S-200 long-rang anti-aircraft missile, one of several launched by the Syrian Arab Air Defense Forces to intercept Israeli missiles, was found in western Iraq.

According to the Sabereen News channel on Telegram, the missile fell near positions of the Popular Mobilization Units. No losses were reported, however.
The Israeli attack on the T-4 air base in central Syria may have targeted an Iranian weapons shipment or military equipment. More information on the attack will likely emerge in the upcoming few days.
