The recent Israeli strikes on Syria destroyed a number of air defense systems as well as a warehouse of the military, according to satellite images shared by Aurora Intel on April 11.
The airstrikes, which took place late on April 8, targeted an air-defense base known as the “Osa Battalion” to the south of the district of al-Dimas near the capital, Damascus. The district is located a few kilometers to the east of Lebanon’s Beqaa, a stronghold of Hezbollah.

The satellite images show extensive damage at the air-defense base. A warehouse was wiped out. A number of 9K33 Osa air-defense systems were also destroyed.

According to several sources, at least four Syrian service members sustained wounds as a result of the Israeli strikes on al-Dimas.
These strikes were a part of Israel’s “War-Between-Wars” campaign, which ramped up after the outbreak of the Syrian war in 2011. The campaign is meant to push Iran and its allies out of Syria as well as to prevent them from developing their offensive capabilities.
So far, the campaign has failed to achieve its goals. On the other side, Syria is not taking action to deter Israel and put an end to the repeated attacks on its territory.
