On October 13, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a combing operation in the town of Saida in the eastern Daraa countryside.

Saida joined the Russian-sponsored reconciliation process on October 10. The SAA’s combing operation is meant to secure the town. Army troops are reportedly looking for war remnants, weapons and explosive devices.

The reconciliation process in the eastern Daraa countryside has been going very well. The most recent town to join the process was al-Jeezah.

The SAA entered al-Jeezah on October 13 morning and set up a reconciliation center. Dozens of local gunmen, who are wanted for military service or for deserting the SAA’s ranks, are reportedly preparing to settle their legal status. The gunmen will hand over their weapons.

The Russian-sponsored reconciliation process saw much success in Daraa al-Balad, the southern part of Daraa city, as well as in the governorate’s western and northern countryside. However, the situation in some areas is still not fully stable.

Early on October 13, an attack with explosive devices targeted an SAA position in the town of al-Shajarah in the western Daraa countryside. No casualties or losses were reported.

The reconciliation process in Daraa will likely end soon. Syrian authorities and local communities in the governorate still have to improve their relations in order to prevent a new surge in violence.

Syrian government efforts to bring peace to their country cannot be stopped.

The disarmament program will continue which means western degenerates lose this war, just like Afghanistan, Venezuela, Bolivia etc.
