Representative of Syrian Militants Confirms Talks with Russia in Ankara

The National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces (also known as the Syrian National Coalition) has confirmed reports about closed meetings between representatives of Russia and the Syrian opposition in Ankara, the RIA Novosti news agency reported, citing member of the Syrian National Coalition, Samir Nashar.

“The meetings were holding by efforts of Turkey during three days. Groups, on which Turkey may have some influence, took part with great caution,” Nashar said, noting that he does not know who exactly represented Moscow and Ankara.

The oppositionist added that participants tried to develop a plan to solve the situation in Aleppo on basis of proposals of UN Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, about safe corridors for withdrawal of local residents in exchange for a ceasefire.

“However, it seems that no agreement was reached, as groups [of militants], besieged in Aleppo, took a firm decision to fight to the end and not to leave [the city],” the representative of the Syrian National Coalition said.

He also noted that militants in Aleppo took their decisions regardless of the “command outside of the city,” including representatives in Turkey.

Earlier, the Financial Times newspaper reported about the closed meetings, citing sources in the Syrian opposition. According to the newspaper, leaders of the Syrian opposition held secret negotiations with Russia under the mediation of Turkey and discussed ending of the fighting in Aleppo. The US did not take part in the negotiations.

What RU has to do with it? Again they’ve been acting as a patrons of Syria. The opposition has to talk to the legitimate representatives of the Syrian people which is the elected government of Bashar Assad.

Opposition and masters want to drag Aleppo war as it is good for the propaganda. Russians must understand that and help SAA and allies to finish this off by end of Year. Rebels/Moderates would likely request thru Turkey a break during Christmas and New year holidays too.

What is clear that the victories in terrorist occupied Aleppo would not have been possible without the support of the Syrian people and the Syrian Arab Army which does not behead children.

Where is US and the neocons that supported these jihadis with weapons and relentless propaganda until a short time ago? The neocons are packing their bags along with the outgoing administration. Where are the Saudis? The new administration does not like S. Arabia and does not have neocons that support private agendas. If the jihadis want to die fighting in Aleppo, that wish can be granted; if they want to move in Idlib and extend their life span by a few months that can be granted as well.

The Jihadist are hoping for another long ceasefire, they are hoping to regroup. SY/RU should not allow this. The rebels in E Aleppo should be pushed hard now! Either board the green bus, give up, or die where you stand. Their morale is in the toilet.

Today, І went to the beach witһ my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daugһter and saiⅾ “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placеd the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab insidе and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
