On April 12, residents of the Duma district raised Syrian flag over the center of the district right after the departure of the last batch of Jaysh al-Islam fighters, according to the Lebanese al-Mayadeen TV.
Syrian local sources said that the leaders of Jaysh al-Islam had been aboard the last buses that had left Duma towards the northern cities of Jarabulus and al-Bab.
According to Syrian pro-government sources, Jaysh al-Islam handed over its heavy weapons before leaving. The sources didn’t specify the types of these weapons. However, some local sources have speculated that the list may include the Osa short-range tactical surface-to-air missile system that was used by Jaysh al-Islam to shot down several Syrian warplanes during the last few years.
Al-Mayadeen also reported that the Russian Military Police began deploying its units in Duma in the framework of the evacuation agreement that was reached on April 7. The Lebanese TV also confirmed that the Syrian Police will be once again deployed in Duma.
Now when the Duma district is secured, local observers hope that the investigation committee of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will be able to carry out its mission in the area without any threats or pressure from any side.

This victory would have been very sweet had it not been for the stressful situation of this impending attack! I’m sure most of us here were happy seeing the map turn red… now back to square one again… not at all an expert in warfare but I don’t think the Russians are ready for an onslaught from the three Nations! Well, unless they go all out… really tense situation…

Time will tell. The US only understands how to use Brute Force and that is only successful against a far weaker enemy. Even then the US has suffered great casualties.
