Rocket Attack Hit U.S.-Occupied Gas Facility In Northeastern Syria

On January 4 morning, one of the United States key military bases in the northeastern region of Syria came under attack.

In a statement, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said that two rockets hit a coalition Mission Support Site located within the Conoco gas facility in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. According to the command, the attack resulted in no casualties or damage.

The U.S. main proxy in northeastern Syria, the Syrian Democratic Forces, visited the rocket launch site and found a third unfired rocket.

“Attacks of this kind place coalition forces and the civilian populace at risk and undermine the hard-earned stability and security of Syria and the region,” said Colonel Joe Buccino, CENTCOM spokesman.

The rocket attack came just two days after a series of Israeli strikes that hit the international airport of the Syrian capital, Damascus. Six Syrian soldiers were killed and two others were wounded as a result of the strikes.

This was the first confirmed attack on the U.S.-led coalition in Syria this year. Last year, a series of rocket and drone attacks targeted coalition bases in the northeastern and southeastern regions of the war-torn country. Nearly all the attacks took place after Israeli strikes. Iranian-backed forces in Syria and Iraq were blamed for most these attacks.

According to a report by The New York Times from last year, Damascus and its allies in the so-called “Axis of Resistance” have agreed to respond to Israel’s repeated attacks by targeting U.S.-led coalition bases in Syria. The attack on Mission Support Site Conoco may have been carried out by Iranian-backed forces in lines with this new doctrine.

Why hasn’t Syria used precision weapons to destroy the entire gas facility 10 years later instead of crying and complaining about looting of oil🤔

The Americans need to be continually bombed and made to get out of Syria. They are stealing the oil there.

Has anyone laid claim to this attack? It seems to me that this and all other attacks on these invaders of Syrian oilfields never really come to much. Umm…

What are American troops doing in a sovereign country and what is Israel doing bombing a sovereign country? Where are the hypocrites in EU to sanction these international terrorists?

Send the angloZionaZi bandit$ to hell. All the gas and oil in Syria will not save the bankrupt thugs from Slumville, USSA and their “economy” of global terror and war. Slumville is smoking and ready to burn in its civil war reloaded. Let this be the year to see karma bite the wounded beast.
