Just a few hours after clashes between the Israeli Defense Forces and Hezbollah on the Lebanese-Israeli contact line, rockets struck US-operated military bases in Iraq.
The first strike hot Camp Speicher, located near Tikrit, causing a large explosion on the site.

At the same time, at least three rockets targeted another US-operated military base – Camp Taji, located near Baghdad. According to local media, one rocket hit an Iraqi helicopter while another landed in an artillery weapon depot. The third rocket landed in the 2nd Air Force Squadron but did not explode.

Local sources claim that the strikes came in response to a drone strike on the al-Saqer military camp, south of Baghdad, on July 26. This camp is operated by the Popular Mobilization Units. This branch of the Iraqi Armed Forces is often described by Washington and mainstream media as Iranian proxies and even terrorists.
If the red light is fire it looks like a lot of ammo or fuel was hit.must be a large area ablaze to produce that…maybe 120 mm projectiles or something in that order with more than usual accuracy…a professional level attack?
Two bases were attacked simultaneously for the first time by the growing resistance and one helicopter and an aircraft were lost and a whole storage and ammunition factory was set alight. There were medivac helicopters on the scene, indicating US casualties.
Thnx… from the size of the fire… I thought it must be big… have you seen anything in us or uk news… BBC silent.
BBC silent, as usual, when it comes to attacks like this.
Propaganda lies. Provide links to those sources if you are telling the truth. This was a face-saving retaliation, just like the sorry shit Iran pulled with the Soleimani assassination. You guys know pretty well Trump is only looking for the slightest credible excuse to bomb Iran, especially now that he is losing in the polls. Just pray that Trump does not win again. If he does win, Iran’s cowardice will be exposed to such an extend that even a child won’t be fooled by your bravery propaganda again. After the killing of Soleimani, the Iranian government is still trying to preserve the nuclear deal despite facing the worst sanctions in its history. What a weakness! What have you got to lose if you shred the deal and accelerate your nuclear program? They’ve already imposed all the sanctions they could on you. What else can they do except for war?
I still request a link to the news of serious damage as you claim. I would be surprised if such were the case.
Who are you to request anything from anyone, you, scum…
Good points!
The Yanks are only in these bases because Israel won’t let them leave.
They are not protecting their country they are not heroes they are just Goyim protecting their Jewish masters
You must have read my mind!
Two thumbs up.
I agree that they are the Yid’s personal goyims in the area but I think they would leave if they wanted to, but they’re too eager to please the Jew paymasters, like doggies wanting to play fetch. The Yanks will probably want to stay to save face and once they leave, it will be very, very difficult to come back.
I am so glad I am not a soldier at one of these bases that gets bombed almost daily hahahahahah
The kids got bombed stealing oil for old obese clowns sitting in air conditioned offices half-way around the world,
pretty much lmao
I don’t think they’re kids Simon… They’ve signed up for the army knowing they’ll be stationed in hot-zones in illegal wars for Yids. The pay is tempting, half of the soldiers are queers, the others are bi, and it’s an easy job, or rather, it was an easy job because no one dared bomb them. Now, it’s a totally different story. I hear that they wear diapers as well when they go out on active patrol!!!
When will US get message they are not wanted in Iraq.
When? Never.
US is getting bogged down in a very costly occupation now and this was a major attack. According to Armenian and other independent media reports a US C-130 was destroyed and major damage done.

I never believed it when Trump said Obama gave Iran too much for too little. Now I am convinced that Trump is right. Obama must also have come to that conclusion, as have the democrats including, Joe Biden. Trump proved to them that Iran is scared shitless of a war with America. He heaped sanctions on Iran, Killed Iran’s most beloved hero, Instigated massive revolts, encouraged Israeli bombings of Iranians and their proxies in Syria, and now sabotaging Iran. What does Iran do in retaliation? launch a lame-duke missile strike (intended not to kill), down a drone, carry out some petty attacks in secret and deny responsibility, shoot down a civilian airliner, further killing dozens of Iranians, and most importantly, issue THREATS. Iran’s supporters must be pretty humiliated. I supported them before, but not any more.
Iran is gonna have a bad time from now on, regardless of whether Trump or Biden wins. The Democrats have learnt from Trump’s daring actions that the Iranian regime isn’t the tough guy many believed it to be. They are only tough with words. Biden will surely ask for plenty from Iran before he agrees to ease sanctions. Even with Biden in office, Iran should expect more trouble.
If the Iranian regime doesn’t collapse by a war with America, it’ll collapse by internal revolution designed and executed by America. It’s ONLY hope to survive in the long run is fight and remain standing when the dust settles. It must hit back hard at its enemies to deter further attacks. Otherwise, it’ll lose the respect of most Iranians with time. No body wants to support a cowardly regime that is not willing to fight to deter attacks, and brings humiliation and hardship to its citizens, while at the same time push policies that invite all sorts of attacks. If you are not willing to fight, then revise your foreign policy which keeps inviting attacks on Iranians.
Those who died on that plane and during the demonstrations and other incidents are suffering due to your confrontational policy with a power you are unwilling to engage in a fight. Therefore, surrender and let the Iranians have some peace and enjoy whatever lifespan God gives them on earth. When you feel strong enough to fight, you can then pursue confrontational policies. Millions are suffering for your actions in Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. People are starving and dying under the weight of crushing sanctions. All for what? What exactly has your regime achieved in return for all this suffering? Were you able to export your revolution to any country? Nothing! Just mouthiness and boastfulness. I pray that Trump wins. So that you are forced to abandon this counterproductive policy, or fight and win or lose. We can’t continue to have Iran and America’s tussle destabilizing the Middle East. One has to win for peace to reign.
US occupation of Iraq is untenable and unless they put more boots on the ground, their days are numbered.
more boots means more body bags
They invaded Iraq twice, destroyed the country, sanctioned women and children, depriving them even of medicines, and committed horrendous war crimes, so growing resistance is natural and a must.
When your Shiite forces are ready to fight them with weapons and not words.
The message is now clear that Bombing and occupying other countries to “keep that oil” is going to be very expensive, Things are getting very interesting. It seams PMU got tired of getting droned and decided to show the drone cowards that Katyusha shells can be very accurate. Am imagining the one that hit a Helo or the other that hit arms Depot.
They are running away from PMU. No ISIS Wahhabi fucks can save you now.
ha ha! nice!
if oil and money was the only amerikan motivation they would not pay dearly to amerikan colonies—Israel, Colombia etc to destabilize the world—the amerikans seek to lower the intellectual and cultural common denominator to their own level so that peasants from civilized nations will believe the Hollywood illusions shared by stupefied amerikan peasants
Israel kills one of them but they hit U.S. bases in return. What a good deal….
But at what cost? I est. 75 usd for 3 K rockets…you can take a Hungarian Woman to a top notch meal in downtown Budapest for that kind of money!
We’re talking about a top broad here…
For even less. Are you Hungarian too?
US has been mired in the region since 1991 and nothing to show for. Time to go home and address the burning republic built on lies. There is only more grief in store in both Iraq and Syria as the resistance is now fearless.

Another good comment, well said again, but I’d like to point out a few things. There’s a big difference between the Obama administration and the Trump administration, under Obama the warhawks like Bolton, Matias, McCain all screamed for war against Iran, but they’re all gone now, dead, sacked or forced from office. :] And under Obama most of the anti war/anti LGBTQI senior army commanders were demoted and sacked on false charges of womanizing/gambling/immoral activities, then Obama promoted pro war/pro LGBTQI commanders to their old positions and secured both his authority and military agenda. :[ But now during Trump’s rule many of those sacked/demoted senior commanders have been mostly reinstated to their old positions [not all yet] and now they faithfully serve Trump and the American people, not the US/Israeli administration. Trump sacked Bolton and Bolton was Israel’s strongest warhawk in the US administration. :] Obama had a terrible relationship with Putin right up until Obama departed office, but Trump and Putin seem to be getting along very well, so that has to be another positive when comparing it to the old administration. :]
But what about Trump’s most recent announcements, The US will drop all US economic and diplomatic sanctions against Iran, ALL OF THEM, and they’d also promote Iranian interests all around the world and help to re-incorporate Iran back into the International community, and also help with economic recovery as well, And that’s just what they offered Iran, they also had a huge sweetener for Russia too, Trump offered to revert US policy concerning US/Syrian diplomatic relations to a pre war stance and policy, and also allow Russia to keep all it’s new bases/holdings and interests in Syria with no objections, Talk about bending over backwards to accommodate someone, what else could Trump do to get the Iranians to come to the negotiating table, possibly offer up their own virgin daughters as brides, maybe that would’ve worked, pig headed religious idiots they are, Russia can’t be happy about Iran’s refusal to play ball, that means no international help rebuilding Syria, and Russia really wants international help rebuilding Syria. :[ All Iran has to do is exactly what the majority of the Syrian people want Iran to do now, get out of Syria, that’s all, and I don’t care what the Israelis, the US, or Iran want, and I don’t even care if it upsets Assad himself, I’m actually listening to what the majority of the Syrian people are now saying, and they want Iran out, they don’t want to be involved in a new war between Israel and Iran, they don’t want to be piggy in the middle. And a lot of Iranians know that paying and supplying 2 separate armies is actively causing their standard of living to decline a lot faster than it otherwise would, we don’t hear much about that sort of dissention now, but those protesters that were protesting not that long ago are all still out there somewhere, and they’re even poorer now than they were then, and much hungrier and sicker too, mmmm. :[ :] :[ mmmm. I think Israel’s going to do most of the dirty work for Trump when and if war happens, they’ll play the good cop bad cop routine to give all parties a way out if things get too hot to handle, sadly that will also mean Syria will probably bear most of the suffering, it will just become collateral damage for Iran. Maybe all those anti Iranian Syrian protesters that have been so active lately know much better than most exactly what an Iranian/Israeli war will mean for them.
Keep making your honest comments because some of us really appreciate them, but not all of us will, I’m just waiting to see how many dislikes you get for your last 2 comments, I hope you have a very thick skin and a solid ego, you’ll need them on SF if you’re being honest and tell the truth as you have, get ready for the onslaught. Cheers.
Looks like they’ve blocked me for now.
I actually said anti war/anti LGBTQI military commanders, and here’s a list of just some of the commanders Obama sacked, and even though not one of these excerpts mentions LGBTQI bigotry as a reason for their sacking, or mentions anything about their criticisms of Obama’s military strategy , nearly all of these listed and other sacked/demoted commanders I haven’t listed, have either made negative comments about the LGBTQI movement, especially LGBTQI demands concerning the US army, or criticized Obama’s military strategy/direction/policy. As I said, officially they were sacked/demoted on false charges of womanizing/gambling/immoral activities, but I assert they were really sacked for their anti war/strategy/policy opinions and sentiments, or for their anti LGBTQI opinions and sentiments. Many high ranking US commanders have done a lot more than these guys did and suffered way less severe punishments, Obama was going for some sort of record while he was in office. Transgenders in the US army is a legacy Obama is proud to be a part of, but Trump’s trying to destroy that legacy. :]
Major General Michael Carey — As commander of the US land-based nuclear missile program, Carey was responsible for three units of ICBMs. He was relieved in October 2013 for his conduct on a July trip to Moscow, where he went on what news reports called a “drunken bender,” fraternized with local women and made inappropriate comments disparaging the Russian military. As a result, he was reassigned and made Special Assistant to the Commander of Air Force Space Command in Colorado.
Vice Admiral Tim Giardina — Giardina served as chief of staff of the US Pacific Fleet and was the number 2 officer of US Strategic Command (StratCom) until being relieved of duty in September 2013, following an investigation into his use of fake casino chips in a poker game. This is a class D felony in Iowa, where StratCom is located. He was already due to leave StratCom, and his bio currently lists him as “assigned to the staff of the vice chief of naval operations.”
Lieutenant General David Holmes Huntoon, Jr. — Huntoon was serving as the Superintendent of the United States Military Academy in West Point until June 2013, when a report of an Inspector General’s office investigation was released, which found that he had misused his position and forced subordinate officers to perform personal tasks. Huntoon was given a letter of reprimand, allowed to resign from his post and took his mandatory retirement the next month.
Major General C.M.M. Gurganus — This was one of two generals asked to retire early by the Commandant of the Marine Corps after a September 2012 Taliban surprise attack on a Marine airbase. Gurganus was found to have “not taken adequate force protection measures” at Camp Bastion, which led to the death of two Marines and the destruction of six Harrier jet fighters.
Major General Gregg A. Sturdevant — Sturdevant was the other general asked to retire in the wake of the Camp Bastion attack.
Brigadier General Bryan Roberts — The former commanding officer of Fort Jackson, the largest training post in the US Army, Roberts was suspended in May 2013 after an investigation into adultery and a physical altercation with a woman described as his mistress. Adultery in the military is punishable as an action that can bring discredit upon the armed forces.
Major General Ralph Baker — Baker was removed from his post as commanding officer of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, as well as fined, after an administrative hearing into alcohol abuse and sexual misconduct charges in April 2013.
Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette — Gaouette held the position of commanding officer of Carrier Strike Group Three until a reprimand from the US Navy led to his removal. He was found to have used profanity in public and made several racially insensitive remarks. The origin of the complaint might have come from the captain of the aircraft carrier assigned to the Strike Group, who alleged Gaouette had humiliated him in public.
I do know 2 of these general may have been demoted for genuine reasons but I’m not 100% certain of that, I actually suspect they were all sacked for their anti LGBTQI or anti war sentiments. There’s quite a few more names that aren’t mentioned and I don’t have the time to look for more, do some more checking and you’ll find possibly dozens more.
And yes Bolton didn’t serve in the Obama administration but he did serve under Bush as Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security. And he was one of the first people who called Iran, Iraq, and N Korea the axis of evil, then he added Libya, Syria, and Cuba to the list too, so he was a warmonger all through the Bush and Obama administrations and even well into Trump’s tenure, so that’s 20 years of calling for war against N Korea, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Cuba in some official capacity or other capacity. But when he locked horns with Trump he lost his warmonger status altogether, now he just sells telltale books for a living, so maybe he’ll retire to Israel where he’s bound to make more money, the Zionist prodigal son could get really rich there. And he won’t be seen as a warhawk anymore either, Trump pulled all his talons out as well as some of his feathers, now he’s just an old pirates parrot repeating tired worn out old lines.
Trumps a peace dove not a war hawk, he carries a big stick in one hand but also has a big bag of carrots in the other, so I can only partially agree with this part of your comment,
“Trump proves to be a more realistic president than Obama. Trump knows America can’t tolerate Iran’s actions even if a deal were reached. So he wants to solve the whole problem at once. What I understand from Trump’s policy is that Iran has either to comply or face the worst regime-change assault it ever did, including devastating air strikes. To me, Trump is willing to fight a war if other regime-change measures fail, having realized that there is no way the Iranian regime will alter its long-term policies.”
N Korea may have had nukes to deter Trump from escalating demands on their country so I’m not making a fair comparison, but look at how Trump backed down when push actually came to shove, Trumps big nuclear button wasn’t that scary to Kim after all. And after Trump killed Soleimani and the subsequent Iranian retaliatory strikes, what did Mr big words do, stopped a punitive attack because it would possibly cost 150 innocent Iranian lives, just for one little US drone, a few injuries and some blown up vehicles and buildings. Mmmm, that’s not what a warhawk does, a warhawk would’ve killed a 1,000 innocent Iranians with any excuse they could, so Trump’s 100% pure peace dove, but he’s a peace dove that can knock out a warhawk when he has to.
And neither the US or Israel will risk direct attacks against Iranian territory, they don’t need to, there may be some ballistic and cruise missile strikes against vital Iranian assets in Iran’s territory, but it’s in Syria and Iraq all the damage to Iran will be done. So do you really think it’d take a full scale war to put Iran back in the box where the US and Israel want them, I don’t think they need a full scale war at all, I think that just retaking Syria and Iraq would be more than enough to do that. Iran’s economy could barely handle a small scale war right now leave alone a full scale war, so it won’t take that much to bring them to heel. Turkey’s been refusing to recommence Natural gas imports from Turkey for more than 3 months now, and Iran’s so frustrated they’re taking the Turkish Government to court to try and force them to start buying the gas again, because without Turkish sales the Iranians are virtually dependent on Chinese oil and gas revenue to keep their economy running. Turkey wants Iran to sell them gas at a lower price than Iran can make a profit from and Iran refuses, so Turkey instead pays the US an even higher price than they’d have to pay to Iran, and now they won’t even negotiate a higher price for Iran. And the Turks cut down imports from Russia as well, now they buy more LPG from the US instead, imports from the US up by 300%, down to 0 in Iran and down 30% in Russia, great friend Erdogan is to Russia and Iran isn’t he. Iran’s got a lot of money in the bank but it’s running out fast at the high rate the Iranians spend it, so how long would it take for the existing civil unrest to grow, a negative economy, covid 19, and an unwinnable war all taking a toll on the Iranian people, I think the US and Israel won’t have to do much at all to be honest, just enough to sit back and watch Iran implode on the domestic front.
Turkey’s a wild card in both Iraq and Syria if a war eventually starts, and judging from it’s negative policy towards Russia , military policy in both Syria and Libya, and negative policy towards Iran, Iran’s economic dependence on Turkey and Turkey’s refusal to recommence gas imports even though they’re legally obliged to, I’d go so far as to say Turkey will most likely assist the US if a war starts.
Russia hasn’t stopped US aggression against Syria, Israeli aggression against Syria and Iran, or stopped Turkish aggression against Syria and Libya, so I don’t think they’ll do anything to help Iran. Iran will most likely be all on it’s own, the only hope they have is that China will somehow intervene.
Trump’s offer to reinstate Iran’s positive status if they accepted the deal, prioritized the removal of Iranian infrastructure from Syrian territory as a starting point, ballistic missiles and nuclear ambitions were something to be left for future negotiations, that’s if Israel and the US’s initial demands were met, so at the very least Iran had an opportunity to test the water before they dove straight in, but they didn’t even dip a toe in the water. Who’s to say the Iranians don’t have any nuclear missiles already, back in the 70/80’s Kim’s father was rumored to have sold/given Iran a nuclear warhead/bomb, so who knows. Yes Iran’s nuclear ambitions are clear, so does anyone have a right to say they can’t continue, even build weapons for defense assurances, I don’t think anyone has that right, but you can’t argue when you’re looking down the barrel of a gun, and Israel and the US have really big guns. I didn’t think it was a timid retaliation for Soleimani’s killing, I actually thought Trumps lack of retaliation for Iran’s retaliatory strike was the most timid response of all, but also the right one. I don’t think Iran ever complies to anything at all unless it suits them, and nothing the US and Israel are demanding is reasonable, except for the military withdrawal from Syria, so Iran won’t really comply to anything at all even if they do agree to it, they’ll go through the motions just for appearances, but they’ll just be cheating really, just like any other nation would if they could. Religious zealots are the hardest people of all you can reason with under any circumstance, so if you make unreasonable demands on them in the first place, and then tell them to relent to your stronger will just because you’re stronger than them, they’ll ALWAYS fight you to the death every single time, even after you’ve tried to sweeten the deal and offer something in return to avoid a fight you actually picked but don’t really want to have. I used to favour Russia and Iran over the US but realized that they all treat satellite countries the same when the situation demands it, everyone’s expendable in geopolitics, and right now poor old Syria’s very expendable to Iran, Israel, the US, Turkey, and Russia, but not to the anti Muslim Brotherhood Arab league nations it isn’t, they don’t think Syria’s expendable at all.
If the Iranian regime doesn’t collapse by a war with America, it’ll collapse by internal revolution designed and executed by America. We’ve had enough of other countries (Syria, Iraq, Lebanon) getting destroyed due to the proxy war between America and Iran.
You’re going to end up becoming one of my heroes if you keep writing stuff like this, you’re somewhat restoring my faith in humanity. Honest assessments and opinions on the SF comments are needed now more than ever, and I have to say yours is a really good one, so well said. I’d give you 2 likes for this comment if I could.
You are just missing 1 simple thing. US government has no right to impose sanctions to Iran, just because they are not US stooges. Same with Venezuela, same with Cuba, same with even NK and many more. Iran has been standing against US tyranny for 30+ years and there they are. How about you go and stand against the USA army and then come back and tell us how it was. I do like your comments, not many write that way here.
