On May 25, Russia warned militants in the towns of Mahajjah, Abtaa and Da’el in the northern Daraa countryside that they will soon face a military operation if they do not hand over their positions to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) or do not accept a reconciliation agreement, according to the Syrian pro-opposition news outlet Enab Baladi.
A local source revealed to Enab Baladi that Russian officials told representatives of the three towns that the Tiger Forces will launch a large-scale military operation to capture the tows if they do not accept the Russian demands.

Meanwhile, Syrian opposition activists reported that helicopters of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) had drooped thousands of leaflets over the towns of al-Harrah, Inkhil, Jasim, Nawa in the northern Daraa countryside and the city of Daraa, in which it threatened that militants with a military operation if they do not surrender their weapons and do not join the reconciliation process.
Local observers believe that the majority of militants in the northern and northwestern Daraa countryside will reject the demands of Russia and the SAA, especially that many of their commanders released threats over the last few days. This will likely lead to a military confrontation similar to the recent battle around Damascus.
