Early on August 30, Kiev forces launched an unprecedented wave of attacks with dozens of drones against Russian territory.
The attacks, which targeted the northwestern Piskov region and five other regions in central Russia, were thwarted by Russian air defenses.
In Pskov, several drones targeted the city’s airport. Most of the drones were intercepted by Russian air defenses. Several Il-76 military transport planes were reportedly damaged at the airport. The Russian emergencies ministry said that two of the aircraft caught fire. However, there were no casualties.
Air traffic above the region and its administrative center was restricted. Pskov Airport will remain closed for the rest of the day.
Around the same time, three Ukrainian suicide drones were shot down over the Bryansk region and another was intercepted over the Oryol region, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. There were no casualties or material losses.
The ministry also reported that two drones had been shot down over the Ryazan Region and another over the Kaluga region.
Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha said two drones had attacked his region. According to him, one of the drones was shot down and the other hit an empty oil tank. No casualties were reported in Kaluga or Ryazan.
Another Ukrainian drone that was headed towards the Russian capital, Moscow, was shot down by air defenses over the Ruzsky district.
The Russian MoD didn’t report any casualties or material losses as a result of the attack attempt. However, Moscow’s airports were briefly closed for arrivals and departures. Restrictions were later lifted in Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky.
The Crimean Peninsula was also targeted. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozzhayev said in the early morning that the Black Sea Fleet repelled an attack with naval drones near the main bay of the port city. In a later statement, the governor said that anti-submarine warfare forces had completed their task.
The Russian MoD is yet to provide any details on the attack on Sevastopol. However, it said that the aviation of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed four high-speed military boats with 50 personnel from Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces in the early morning.
Later in the morning, another high-speed boat was targeted and destroyed by a Su-30 fighter jet of the Russian Navy, according to the ministry.
Dozens of drones were reportedly used in the last wave of attacks on Russian territory, which represents a dangerous escalation by the Kiev regime. A wave of retaliatory strikes have already targeted the Ukrainian capital. More Russian strikes are to be expected in the upcoming few days.
The attacks came as Kiev forces were struggling to break through Russian defenses in several directions on the twelfth week of their counteroffensive.
i believe some of these drones are not being launched from ukraine, oneof the targets was 700k from ukraine and nearer to estonia, russia needs to get more intel on thee attacks and where they are coming from.
they’re chinese drones with a bomb strapped to them. goblins just enter russia and launch them directly from there.
hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahaha hahaha hahah ahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha haha
being launched from inside russia by sabotage groups
so if sabotage groups, like cromwell says russia needs more intel on how they are moving around russia freely and launching drones. where are the sabotage groups coming from: estonia next door or all the way fro ukraine?
these drones are quite small and very easily transported. that said, it wouldn’t take much for these drones to find themselves in western countries soon should regional hostilities or unrest break out..
hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha aha hahahahahaha
hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha
hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahahaha
they are from inside russia like very close to the place,of the attack and it’s not ukro-nazis, most likely are russians who spy and sabotage for the nazis, because ukro-nazis cannot launch drones from eastern ukraine to central russia, that is stupid to think that is possible, and the ones that are also launched in moskow are also from sabotagers very close to kremlin it must come from inside russia.
