On November 10th, Russia carried out a rare dispatch of two nuclear-capable strategic bombers to patrol Belarusian airspace.
Moscow’s decision came as the EU considered sanctions to punish Minsk for what it calls an artificially created crisis, something Belarus denies.
The Tupolev Tu-22M3 bombers that Russia sent to overfly Belarus are capable of carrying nuclear missiles, including hypersonic ones. It came as Belarus carried out a drill of its air defense forces on the same day and reinforced its western and northwester border with additional protection.
The Russian military department confirmed this fact and reported that the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces completed the tasks of patrolling the airspace of the republic. At the same time, the crews worked out interaction with ground control points of the Armed Forces of Russia and Belarus.
In addition, within the framework of this flight, the work of the air defense of the allied state was checked, the check was carried out under the leadership of the commander of the Air Force and Air Defense of Belarus. After completing the tasks, the Russian Tu-22M3 long-range bombers returned to the home airfield.
Migrants trapped in Belarus made multiple attempts to force their way into Poland overnight, Warsaw said, announcing that it had reinforced the border with extra guards.
United Nations human rights chief Michelle Bachelet called on states to deescalate and resolve the “intolerable” crisis.
“These hundreds of men, women and children must not be forced to spend another night in freezing weather without adequate shelter, food, water and medical care,” she said.
Russia blamed the EU for the crisis on the border, accusing it of failing to uphold its own humanitarian values and of trying to “strangle” Belarus with plans to close part of the border.
The Kremlin said a suggestion by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki that Moscow had a role in the flow of migrants into the EU was irresponsible and that President Vladimir Putin had told German Chancellor Angela Merkel the EU should discuss the crisis directly with Minsk.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he hoped responsible Europeans would “not allow themselves to be drawn into a spiral that is fairly dangerous” after talks with his Belarusian counterpart.
The bloc’s 27 ambassadors are set to agree on November 10th that the growing numbers of migrants flying to Belarus to reach the EU border amount to “hybrid warfare” by President Alexander Lukashenko – a legal basis for new sanctions.
“Mr. Lukashenko …unscrupulously exploits people seeking refuge as hostages for his cynical power play,” Germany’s acting Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Twitter.

He described images from the Belarusian border, where people are stuck in freezing conditions with little food and shelter, as “horrific” but said the EU could not be blackmailed.
Germany’s Merkel urged Putin to put pressure on Belarus over the situation at the border, a German government spokesperson said.
Thousands of people have converged on the border this week, where makeshift razor wire fences and Polish soldiers have repeatedly blocked their entry. Some of the migrants have used logs, spades and other implements to try to break through.
“It was not a calm night. Indeed, there were many attempts to breach the Polish border,” Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said.

5 minutes longer than any NATO member nation, on the receiving end of a Russian hypersonic. Why are so many non-nuclear nations, failed politicians and nuclear peace campaigners, with no respect for MAD weapons, leading NATO? Well, since it turned from a bi-polar defence union, to a uni-polar, offence union?
Maybe this is all distraction to keep the fleecing of US public in play? Inflation is officially running at 6% but it’s really more like 15%-20% for regular folk. If inflation is at 6% then Tbills (federal debt) will have to yield at least 8% and corporate debt would cost 8% + depending on the risk.
US corporations are used to cheap money and deeply in debt … 8% + interest rates will kill a lot of companies say nothing of landlords, consumers and the government itself.
I think inflation might just collapse the house of cards that is the US economy however a nice war and a draconian wartime economy might just be enough of a market boost to keep the economy afloat for a few more years and who knows … perhaps Europe will need rebuilding again.
Nato start war in their country where the most migrant came from especially iraq, libya, and afghan. Its their obligation to give that solution not russia or belarus because they not part of nato who blow that migrant country and then doing nothing to rebuilt the country

Their choice to look for a better life. Belarus, unlike many nations, cares about her borders. If they end up stuck in Belarus, with nowhere to go, well they will find it will not be as welcoming as an EU nation.
