On the night of July 24, the Russian military continued massive retaliation strikes throughout Ukraine. They continue every night in response to Kiev’s strike on the Crimean Bridge on July 17.

Last night explosions thundered in the Sumy region. Meanwhile, the main wave of strikes targeted the Odessa region, where Ukrainian ports are being destroyed. After Russian drones and missiles hit all seaports located on the coast of the Black Sea, last night, Russian forces began destroying Ukrainian ports located on the banks of the Danube River. In total, there are three of them, including the Ust-Danube Seaport, the ports in Ismail and Reni.

The official representative of the operational command “South” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the infrastructure of one of the Ukrainian ports in the Odessa region on the Danube was damaged on the night of July 24. Some port facilities were damaged.

According to the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, a hangar with grain was destroyed, cargo storage tanks were damaged. A fire broke out in one of the technical rooms. Six people were reportedly injured, four of them were hospitalized.

Ukrainian authorities did not officially reveal which port was damaged.

Meanwhile, the local media reported explosions in Ismail and Reni. Footage confirmed damage to the latest. Russian UAVs have been reportedly pounding the local port for at least four hours. An oil storage facility in the port of Reni was also hit.

The Ukrainian air defense has once again demonstrated its complete inability to resist the attack of Russian drones. In an attempt to shoot down the UAVs, the Ukrainian air defense forces are indiscriminately firing at the targets.

Ukrainian ports on the Danube River are used not only for the export of Ukrainian grain, but also for the supply of NATO weapons for the Ukrainian military.
