Military transport helicopters Mi-8 and attack Mi-24 will be used in the Russian peacekeeping operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, the Russian Defense Ministry said on November 12th.
The An-124 Ruslan military transport aircraft delivered 8 Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces to the airfield in Yerevan.
“The helicopters will be involved in the peacekeeping operation to carry out air monitoring of the ceasefire and military operations control areas in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, as well as to deliver material and technical equipment and personnel of the peacekeeping contingent to hard-to-reach areas,” the Russian Ministry of Defense’s statement read.
The core of the Russian contingent will be subdivisions of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade (peacekeeping) of the Central Military District.
In order to control compliance with the agreements by the parties to the conflict, it is planned to set up Russian observation posts along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor.
To control the peacekeeping operation in the Stepanakert area, the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces is being deployed.
To control the ceasefire and hostilities, the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is deployed in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the amount of 1,960 servicemen, 90 armored personnel carriers, 380 units of automobile and special equipment.

Separately, the press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan stated that the air defense forces of the Armenian Armed Forces and the Russian Aerospace Forces cover the airspace of the country and Artsakh.
According to her, the air defense forces of the Armenian Armed Forces and the Russian Aerospace Forces “jointly cover the airspace of Armenia and Artsakh, it is closed for flights, except for military and declared civil aviation.”

I don’t know what technology which country has, But Mi-24 on 9th of November was downed by Igla with is a Russian made MANPAD
I doubt there was any downing of Russian Mi-24. Actually I believe it was agreed by all 3 parties: Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan so they can finish the war and everybody are satisfied. Azeries got part of Nagorno Karabah, Armeniians lost some part but stayed on most and Russia is back there with its military and influence + pushed Turkey + pro west government in Armenia is now in postion only to listen to Russia. I believe downing was Hollywood fiction.
Inside Armenia. It looks to me, that this downing was a very dirty job to create a casus belli for what has happened after.
The only other possibility I can think of, is that Pashinian’s minions sent the russians into a trap, to force them to send the russian army to fight for Armenia.

Because it is very difficult to think that russians would fly one of their choppers, without cover, in a zone where azeri forces were stationed. Do you remember the MH-17 in Urakine? Some thing. I don’t agree with the Saker too. Why Turkey would down a russian chopper when Azerbaijan was winning on all fronts? It is the same as thinking that Assad would use nerve gas when he was on the verge of winning in Deir Ezzor, Khan Sheikoun, etc… It makes no sense.
