Russia and the Damascus government are pressuring militants in the towns of Yalda, Babbila and Beit Sahm south of the Syrian capital of Damascus to participate in the upcoming attack against ISIS in the nearby Yarmouk refugee camp, the Syrian pro-opposition news outlet Enab Baladi reported on April 8.
According to the news outlet, Russia and the Damascus government informed the militants that they will not allow them to withdraw towards northern Syria unless they take part in the attack. Syrian opposition activists told Enab Baladi that while most militants oppose the new condition, many local Sheiks support the idea.
Palestinian pro-government forces and the Syrian National Defense (NDF) have been preparing to launch an attack against ISIS in the Yarmouk camp for four days now. On April 8, a large force of the NDF took offensive positions around Yarmouk, according to pro-government sources.
The Russian military force in Syria will likely support the forces that will participate in the upcoming attack against ISIS, including the militants, if they agree to join the attack.
Local observers believe that a joint operation between pro-government forces and the militants would speed up the anti-ISIS operation and lower the loses on the both sides. However, it is unknown yet, if the militants are willing to take such step.
Duty is heavy like a mountain, but a soldiers death is lite like feather. TORA!, TORA!, TORA!
This will be a tough fight till the last ISIS rat because there will be no bus option fot them, only death.
Would there be an alleged chemical attack, one that is blamed on the Syrian forces, again?
Both Militants & SAA are aware a fight against ISIS is a fight to the death. Hence militants reticence and SAA demand from them.
