Russia has rejected accusations of airstrikes on the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near the Syrian city of Deir Ezzor, the Russian state-run media outlet RT reported citing Russian military spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov.
“In the course of the Syrian Army operation to exterminate the last [ISIS] stronghold in Dei ez-Zor, the Russian Air Force performs precision strikes on terrorist-held objects, according to intelligence confirmed through several channels. The strikes are performed on detected IS [ISIS] positions, which fire at Syrian troops, as well as on terrorist reserves coming from the rear,” RT quoted Konashenkov as saying.
Konashenkov added that the Russian side did not register “any engagements between SDF militants and IS terrorists rearward.”
“That specifically relates to the area of hydrocarbon fields in the province, where the militants fiercely resist the advancing Syrian troops,” the spokesman said.
Earlier on Monday, the SDF and pro-SDF media argued that Russian warplanes had conducted airstrikes on SDF positions north of Deir Ezzor as well as Syrian government forces were shelling the SDF in the same area.

Russia are legally in Syria, working to help the Syrian legal Forces. They have told those who want to fight against Syria, that they will be taken out, if they are found to be causing problems for the Syrian Forces. So what are the SDF moaning about? Russia showed how they were working with the US and ISIS or whatever they are called today and the SDF.
The sooner Syria is cleaned up the better for all.
Russia has no cause to bomb SDF because both defend abortion rights and are therefore allies; but Syria bans abortion, so the bombers must have been Syrian and mistaken for Russian by SDF.

This is true. They didn’t conduct air strikes on SDF positions, but rather Isis positions. Of course whether Isis positions are “on top” of SDF positions is an entirely different matter.
This is likely just as true as the first official report by Russia they had crossed the Euphrates : they had not until some days later.

Correct. It is also 99% likely that SAA and Russian Special Forces crossed the Euphrates days before the main crossing to reconnoitre landing points and enemy positions.
If they are attacked they will run away like the Dutch army does. Ironically the only brave Dutch soldiers during and after WW2 were those circa 55,000 who volunteered to fight in the Waffen SS and other German units of WW2.
