On November 2, Russia resumed its participation in the grain deal after Kiev provided guarantees not to use the security corridor in the Black Sea for military purposes.
At a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Kiev guaranteed the safety of ships involved in the export of grain. Russian President instructed the Defense Ministry to resume participation in the grain deal. At the same time, he warned that if Ukraine violates the security guarantees, Moscow may withdraw from the agreement.
Russia suspended its participation in the deal after Ukraine and NATO used the grain corridor to attack the Black Sea Fleet. The Russian side demanded the Kiev regime to ensure that the corridors will not be used for military purposes.
According to Russian President, Turkey gave the Russian military data that “such assurances were given by Ukraine.”
“So, if we withdraw from this agreement in the future in case of Ukraine’s violation of its obligations, we will deliver the entire volume that has been delivered from the territory of Ukraine to the poorest countries free of charge,” Putin assured.
Putin claimed that even in case of withdrawal from this deal, Russia will continue supplying grain to the poorest countries worldwide. The Russian President again criticized the implementation of the Ukrainian grain deal as almost all Ukrainian grain is sent to the EU. Only 4% of Ukrainian grain was transported to the poorest countries, and the whole deal is aimed at ensuring the interests of the EU.
