Russia is working on expanding its fleet and making it capable of operating in the far sea regions of the world ocean.
An anonymous source told TASS that in 2020 construction would begin on 22 warships, boats and submarines that are to be delivered to the Russian Navy in the near future.
“Next year should be a record in the number of combat and auxiliary units laid down for the Navy. A total of 22 surface ships and boats, multipurpose nuclear and diesel-electric submarines, are planned to be laid at shipyards in various regions of the country, including the Crimea submarines, as well as the auxiliary fleet’s vessel,” the source said.
A separate source claimed that for the first time in the Russian Navy’s history, two universal landing ships were to be laid down in 2020. They will be constructed at the Zaliv plant in the Crimea.
“It is also planned to lay two modernized frigates of the project 22350 with 24 cruise missiles at the Severnaya Verf, two multipurpose nuclear submarines of the project 885M code Yasen-M at Sevmash, three diesel-electric submarines of the projects 636.3 Varshavyanka and 677 Lada at the Admiralty Shipyards,” the source said.
None of this information was confirmed for TASS by the state-owned United Shipbuilding Corporation, but TASS is, after all, a Russian state media.
In August, a TASS source said that in 2020 the Russian Navy would receive 6 submarines, 4 out of them being nuclear. If the claims turn out true that would mean it’s the highest number of submarines it has received in 28 years.

Nuclear Submarines
- The Project 885M Yasen-M-class multipurpose nuclear submarine cruiser. The Yasen-class nuclear submarines are to be armed with land-attack cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, anti-submarine missiles including the P-800 Oniks SLCM, Kalibr family SLCM, or 3M51 SLCM. Yasen-class submarines will be the first Russian SSNs/SSGNs equipped with a fourth-generation nuclear reactor. This class is the first Russian submarine to be equipped with a spherical sonar, designated as MGK-600 Irtysh-Amfora.

- The Project 955A Borei-A-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine. Borei class includes a compact and integrated hydrodynamically efficient hull for reduced broadband noise and the first ever use of pump-jet propulsion on a Russian nuclear submarine. The 955A will be armed with 16 SLBMs with ten nuclear warheads atop each.

Diesel-electric Submarines
- The Project 636.3 Kilo-class diesel-electric submarine. The 636.3 is the Varshayanka, improved Kilo-class. It features advanced stealth technology, extended combat range and ability to strike land, surface and underwater targets. The Project 636 class boats displace 3,100 tons, reach speeds of 20 knots, can dive to 300 meters and carry crews of 52 people. The submarines, which feature 533-milimeter torpedo tubes and are armed with torpedos, mines, and Kalibr 3M54 cruise missiles.

- The Project 677 Lada-class diesel-electric attack submarine. The submarine is designed for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, defense of naval bases, seashore and sea lanes, as well as for conducting reconnaissance. It is a smaller version of the above-mentioned Kilo-class, with enhanced capabilities. It is armed with torpedoes and Kalibr 3M54 cruise missiles.

Frigates
- The Project 22350 Admiral Gorshkov-class frigate. It is designed to perform anti-submarine (ASW) and anti-surface warfare (ASuW) in support of blue water operations. It will be equipped with 24 Yakhnot anti-ship cruise missiles, A-192M 130mm multipurpose gun, a 9K96 Poliment-Redut air defense system.

Universal Landing Ships
- There isn’t much clear regarding the two universal landing ships that are to be laid in the Crimean Zaliv Plant. Reportedly, they are to weigh 15,000 tons, and carry more than 10 helicopters. Which is actually much smaller than all other foreign alternatives. Especially the US and Chinese ones that have approximately 50,000 tons displacement. Zaliv also has the capability of building ships up to 300 m long and 50 m wide, with a displacement of up to 150,000 tons. Why that is not being utilized is unclear.

The long-term plan of the Russian Ministry of Defense is to create groups of ships that can operate in all areas of the ocean, not just the near sea, and it appears great effort is put towards that end.

The future of military domination belongs to Russian Federation, but of course RF won’t use it to bomb the hell out of small countries, rather to ensure that Anglo-Zionist-Scums does think many times before doing anything stupid, generally on Russian’s interest around the world, and more importantly on the Motherland.
I think it i about keeping main trade and supply routes open, this will include the Carib between VZ and Kuba, along northern Indian and across Arctic. Know some people from Nikolaev who say Russia has already taken the best ship building engineers from UA where the big ships were made in Soviet times.
