On November 1, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine.
The Russian MoD reported on the results of the missile and UAV attacks on the military and energy infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine on October 31. Russian high-precision long-range air- and sea-based weapons hit the facilities of control, communications and energy systems of Ukraine. As a result the management of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and their logistics were heavily disrupted. Military supplies to the areas of combat operations by railway lines was hampered and work of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine has been disrupted.
On the same day, the Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu gave a speech, confirming that the Russian Army is effectively reducing the military potential of Ukraine.
“We continue to effectively hit military infrastructure facilities with precision weapons, as well as objects that affect the reduction of Ukraine’s military potential. At the same time, comprehensive measures are being taken to prevent the death of Ukrainian citizens,” Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on a conference call.
Amid the ongoing massive daily attacks on the Ukrainian facilities, the number of wounded civilians remained extremely low, not to mention the killed civilians. Shoigu noted that in its turn “the Kiev regime continues terrorist actions aimed to destroy civilians and destroy social facilities.”
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not stop shelling the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, evacuation points and places of distribution of humanitarian aid, deliberately targeting civilian populations,” Sergei Shoigu said.
The Kiev regime continues provocations in order to create a threat of a man-made disaster at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
On October 31 alone, the artillery of the AFU fired more than twenty shells at the northwestern outskirts of the city of Energodar and the territory adjacent to the nuclear power plant. The NPP was shelled from the Ukrainian military positions near the town of Marganets in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The nuclear facilities of the plant were not damaged and the radiation level in the area remains normal.
Russian Grad MLRS in action in the Krasny Liman region:
Meanwhile, the AFU continue their attempts to break through Russian defences. On the north-eastern front lines in Ukraine, the AFU are suffering heavy losses in their offensive operations that continue in the same areas on a daily basis.
In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian forces continued unsuccessful attempts to attack Russian positions near Nikolaevka, Kuzemovka in the LPR and Orlyanka in the Kharkiv region. The operation was traditionally carried out by small forces of up a battalion tactical group reinforced by foreign mercenaries. All their attacks were repelled and resulted in heavy losses of the AFU. More than 150 Ukrainian servicemen and foreign militants, three tanks, four armored combat vehicles and six pickups were destroyed.
In the area of Krasny Liman, Russian preemptive artillery fire and manoeuvres of the Russian infantry thwarted another Ukrainian offensive near the villages of Chervonopopovka and Makeyevka in the LPR. More than 30 Ukrainian servicemen, four infantry fighting vehicles and three pickup trucks were destroyed.
On the southern front lines in Ukraine, the AFU also failed to achieve any victories. In the Mykolaiv-Krivoy Rog direction, Russian forces repelled the attacks of the AFU towards the villages of Mylovoye, Sukhanovo, Bruskinskoye, Kostroma and Zeleny Guy in the Kherson region. As a result of the fire damage, more than 110 Ukrainian servicemen, one tank, eight armored fighting vehicles and eight pickups were destroyed.
Russian Su-35S and Su-30SM in action:
Russian warplanes, artillery and missiles continue suppressing Ukrainian military positions and foreign military equipment along all the front lines.
- According to the Russian MoD, three ammunition depots, eight control points of the AFU, 63 artillery units in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 154 districts were hit over the past day.
- Two US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar stations were destroyed near Belogorovka (LPR) and Soledar (DPR). A Ukrainian Su-24 was shot down by Russian fighter in the Apostolovo area of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
- Nine UAVs, one Tochka-U ballistic missile, six shells of the Olkha MLRS were shot down.
The Russian Defence Minister added that over the past ten days, more than two hundred missiles launched with US-made HIMARS MLRS have been intercepted over the territories under Russian control.
