Kurdish forces have begun withdrawal from the border with Turkey in northeast Syria, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin announced on October 24.
The withdrawal is being carried out under the Russian-Turkish agreement. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan reached the agreement following a long meeting in the Russian city of Sochi two days ago.
“We note with satisfaction that the agreements reached in (the southern Russian city of) Sochi are being implemented … Everything is being implemented,” the Interfax news agency quoted Vershinin as saying.
A day earlier, Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu discussed the agreement with the Commander-in-chief of the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Mazloum Abdi, who expressed gratitude to the Russian efforts to protect Kurds in northeast Syria.
A unit of the Russian Military Police has been already deployed in the border town of Kobane under the agreement with Turkey. 276 more Russian Military Police officers and 33 additional equipment pieces will be deployed in northeast Syria to facilitate the agreement in the few upcoming days.

Turkey has already given up so much. Look, they had to move the ISIS supply zone a hundred kilometers to the east from its former location (2015).
