According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia has earned $4.6 billion selling military equipment this year.
“The tasks set for 2016 in the system of Russia’s military and technical cooperation are being fulfilled,” TASS reported, quoting words of Vladimir Putin at a session of the military-technical cooperation commission. “The export deliveries of armaments and military hardware have already reached the level of almost five billion US dollars – $4.6 billion – while the order book clearly exceeds $50 billion.”
Putin noted that the Russian weapons and military hardware are proving their efficiency and reliability in diverse conditions.
Putin also added that the government and defense industry should “to further increase the efficiency of military and technical cooperation and act in a more clear-cut and coordinated manner in this sphere.”
“At the same time, it is necessary to be ready that our more active efforts will undoubtedly intensify competition,” he underlined.
The growing demand for final products, technologies, and personnel training was also mentioned by the head of state.
Someone knows how the production-rate of the defense-factory’s is? As I know, Russia still can’t produce fast enough.
