Russian has successfully competed tests of the compact nuclear power unit for cruise missile Burevestnik, the state-run news agency TASS reported on February 16 citing a source in the missile producing industry.
“A major stage of trials of the cruise missile of the Burevestnik complex, the tests of the nuclear power unit, were successfully completed at one of facilities in January,” the source said.
He added that the trials had “sustained stated specifications of the reactor ensuring the missile’s unlimited range.”
A compact high-power nuclear engine developed by Russia for air-launched cruise missiles and sea-launched cruise missiles was first revealed by President Vladimir Putin in March 2018. According to the president’s statement such, a cruise missile armed with a special warhead features almost unlimited range, non-predictable trajectory and high air defense penetration capacity and cannot be intercepted by all existing missile defense and air defense assets.

Please allow to explain my point of view over the situation. US has to employ citizens of Ukraine who support USA, because they can speak Russian and have access to the news from Russia without translation, and, of course, they can push the Washington agenda over the WEB. But there are two enormous issues.
1. Most of the Ukrainian supporters of USA are nazzi and have IQ below 80. 2. As they watch Ukrainian TV news and read Ukrainian news websites they repeat the unbelievable lies from there. And the trolls do really believe in that news because of point “1”.
So, for most of Russians is quite easy to detect them. And when they appear at the Russian outlets it is a great fun, because of the lies they say and because they are too stupid to understand we are trolling them back. At the beginning of maidan there was a lot of them in Russian segment of internet, but now is a little sad moment course they switched to the English speaking segment and we’ve lost a free source of “LOLs” :)

I remember when the hole in the ozone layer was discovered, and the so called experts said it was caused by CFC’s and if we stopped using them the hole in the ozone layer would disappear in a decade, so we stopped using CFC’s. That was 40 years ago and the hole is bigger than ever.

Main purpose of Burevestnik (Stormbringer) is that having unlimited range it allows to attack US territory from ALL possible directions (unlike conventional cruise missiles) and that requires deploying AMD around all perimeter and that will be… “a bit complicated” to do.
Averall, Russian military doctrine is not about starting and winning a war with US. It is about making sure that in case US starts a war they would not be able to win it but will be wiped off the face of this planet. Guranteed mutual destruction.
