The Russian Military Department requests that the military attache at the Embassy of Great Britain in Moscow provide official explanations regarding notices in the British mass media about the instructions allegedly received by pilots to attack Russian planes in the sky of Iraq “in case of threat to their lives”.
“Today the military attache at the Embassy of Great Britain in Moscow was invited to the Ministry of Defense of Russia, where he received a note with the request to provide official explanations regarding information published in the British mass media, with reference to high-ranking sources in the Ministry of Defense of this country [Great Britain], about instructions allegedly received by Royal Air Force pilots to use strike weapons against Russian planes in case of threat to their lives”, stated the report.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the British military attache reported that he has no information in this respect, and promised to provide the official answer very promptly.
