Russia Summons Israeli Ambassador Over Downed IL-20 Plane

Syria’s Latakia, September 17

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Israel’s ambassador in Russia over the shooting down of a Russian IL-20 plane near Syria.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the plane was downed by a Syrian S-200 air defense system because of actions by Israeli F-16 warplanes hiding behind it. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu further said that Israel is the side fully responsible for the incident.

Turbofan

Seriously..How old are you?

Spit

This will obviously never hapten, but being on the offencive is better than being on the defencive. The Russians have nothing to lose in this Scenerio. I will be honest. I am in my mid 30s

Rafik Chauhan

turkey shoot down one fighter jet of Russia and Russia put sanction on turkey and cut ties for almost 2 years . Now Israel kill 15 Russian what will Russia do . let me tell you the answer only Russia will say becarfull next time . What will Russia do? I remember working as a Pizza delivery driver and most of the Jew Underage girls Fucked niggers. Your Jewish right? Pay close attention of how all of the Jew girls are… reluctant and insistent on sucking dick. Your Future wife sucked a niggers dick.

Turbofan

So you are just another skinhead..

Spit

Jews tried to exterminate Whites. Trying to exterminate me and my family… well lets Just say, that was a bad idea. For example, 94-95 iq Subhumans.. What are they called again? Oh Kikes… are extremely Vulnerable to Oil Soluble Vitamins. Simply increasing something like Vitamin E into everyday foods will Make Jews Chronically sick. By Introducing Vitamin B into the Soil of Every day Farm goods… Some Very Nasty things could happen to the subhumans who wanted to exterminate Whites. The Jews Can beg for Mercy and Apologize.

Concrete Mike

That was vile even by my standards. You can do better son

Rob

You are 100% correct. Israel knows that there is lack of capable leadership in this world. All are junkies.

telemetrie

Well, Russia should blame themselves. They showed poor coordination between Il20 (AEW&C) crew and Syrian air defence units. And by the way, S200 is very OLD SAM design from 70ties, so why Russian didn’t have electronic jammers on Il20 ? Hoping for good luck ? Stupid strategy indeed.

Tsarski

You Sir, have the intelligence of a jellyfish. Obvious that you have no knowledge in what is going on here. Away with you Troll!

telemetrie

well, Mr jellyfish, S200 is an old radar homing missile from 70ties and Russian have state of the art radar jammers on SU35 and Ka52 capable of disengage S200 , but they were NOT installed on IL20M (design of Il 20 is from sixties btw). So there are 2 simple questions: 1 Why Russian sent Il 20 to conflict zone unprotected. 2 Why Russian didn’t coordionated with Syrian air defence. My answer: stupid and lazy Russian generals are to blame and Putin is the second one as supreme commander. That’s all.

You can call me Al

Maybe we need to know where the IL20M was flying from and to first.

Muriel Kuri

According to Defense Minister, plane was heading to Idlib to monitor/analyze sites where drones originated from in their attacks on Latakia.

You can call me Al

Yes, but I have seen a report that it came from Russia.

Concrete Mike

Voyons donc!!!!

Nobody else to blame but israel here…why blame the russians???

Israel hid behind the il20 when the s200 was in heat seeking mode from what i understand.

I wont pretend i know how the missile works.

Blame israel, its their mess, they created it.

TiredOfBsToo

As I, and I’m sure the hardliners in Russia’s government believe, Israel pre-planned to hide behind the Russian aircraft to strike Syrian targets such as power stations (not Iranian bs Israel uses as excuses), to avoid being shot down. The ‘1’ minute warning to the Russian government proves it was a deliberate action. As far as I’m concerned, a no-fly zone over Syria for Israeli aircraft is warranted. No more Zionist bull sh*t!!!!!

BlueInGreen

I just don’t see Russia enforcing such a thing. They’ve always wanted to keep a relatively small footprint in Syria for obvious reasons (War isn’t a popular thing for any leader other then the Israeli Dogs) and creating a no-fly-zone over Syria for Israeli craft is a great idea but in practice is impractical since the Israelis are using Lebanese and airspace beyond Syrias borders to launch these missile attacks.

Effectively what Russia would need to do is dramatically increase its forces in Syria to accommodate for such a change in MO. One of the worse things in all of this is the US. If Israel is under any real threat from Russia then the US will triple-down against Russia-Syria-Hezbollah and Iranian forces as response all the while ensuring the Israelis a stable and large supply of weapons and resources should they need it.

TiredOfBsToo

I agree with you but, when I say no-fly zone I mean including Israel’s missiles, not just their aircraft. The one thing that’s certain is that the more atrocities Russia allows to go unanswered, the more frequent and greater the provocations and atrocities which will be planned and performed. I see this last deliberate attack by Israel as a test by Israel and the West to see whether Russia will ever take a stand.

BlueInGreen

We share the same sentiment, but I’ll be absolutely honest when I say I just don’t feel all that great about it as far as pure retaliatory measures go.

Undoubtedly this latest flagrant escalation against Syria and her allies by Israel and NATO nations has many implications. Israel has the US and practically the important nations of NATO to back it up more or less, Russia has Syria, Hezbollah, Iran and China (possibly) to aid it its efforts in Syria. So currently it’s a hard situation for everyone in that region. On the ground the Syrian-Russian-Iranian alliance is winning but losing massive amounts of face due to the constant attacks on their forces by US, Israeli and NATO nations.

Putin just came our literally jus now and said this “looks like like a chain of tragic circumstances”. So Idk what to draw from that currently.

TiredOfBsToo

“Putin just came..”

Yes but in a live question / answer session in Hungary he mentioned also something about “..our position has been expressed by our ministry of defense..” “..our measures will be very noticeable to everyone.” The Russian ministry of defense has stated Israel is responsible. -> https://sputniknews.com/europe/201809181068121244-putin-orban-meeting/

begins at the 16.50 mark

BlueInGreen

Just noticed that typo lol.

Muriel Kuri

There’s a time for peace and a time for war … maybe the time for war is at hand. Unless these aggressive, antagonist, terrorizing countries get stopped, these acts will continue unabated, with many more lives lost. A firm hand is needed here.

Muriel Kuri

‘dramatically increase its forces’ is what they SHOULDN’T do – US would LOVE to tie them to Syria like they did to Afghanistan – no, what they should do is set up the no-fly zone and monitor it. Notify everyone, that ANYTHING flying over will be shot down – also whatever fires the weapon will be shot down. Tell Lebanon that Syria & Russia will be firing upon these Israeli assets in Lebanon’s air space until they control their OWN airspace. Offer them the sale of s400s to protect their airspace as well.

Concrete Mike

Russia will never give s400 to the comprimised lebanese army…might as well send a unit to the pentagon while your at it.

Muriel Kuri

Someone has to stand up to Israel, and it might as well be Russia. This cowardly ‘state’ will continue it’s atrocities against the world as long as no one holds them responsible.

Concrete Mike

Unless you know how the s200 missle works, you are just speculating, speculating like that plays in the hands of the filthy israeli.

Le 23 au soir, tu veux chanter une chanson de noel ou de hannukah??

TiredOfBsToo

15 Russian servicemen killed in an unprovoked attack by Israel requires 15 dead Israeli pilots. Russia has promised to target the launching platforms of those that attack and kill Russian service men. Time for Russia to stop sitting on it’s hands and follow through!!!!

Time to, at a minimum, to set up a no-fly zone for Israel!

Jose

So why Russia didn´t soot down the F15?

TiredOfBsToo

The Israeli’s hid behind the Russian plane while attacking Syria.

Jose

After the Russian plane was shot down.

TiredOfBsToo

It takes time to analyze the facts and determine a response. A response is now being worked on by the Russian government.

Jose

Apparently the only response will be no response.

TiredOfBsToo

We shall see. Check out Putin’s remark at the 16:50 mark -> https://sputniknews.com/europe/201809181068121244-putin-orban-meeting/ Everything remains to be seen.

Jose

Like he did with Turkey…

Concrete Mike

Yes like he did to turkey, 2 years of no russian tourists hurt turkey really bad, it wasent plasteres on cnn at the time but it still happened. It made turkey heel. Israel will heel as well, I have no doubt.

And ita not the troll army that popped up like mushrooms that will convince me otherwise.

John Brown

The S-200 was fired at the Israeli F-16 earlier which drew the missile out towards the IL-20, then the F-16 kept the IL-20 in a line-of-sight between it and the missile, probably till the missile was out of range of identifying friend or foe, and used the heat signature to kill the nearest thing..

This deal with Erdogan is better than I thought, as the Russian army will enter Idlib in large numbers escorted by the Turkish army without even having ot fight any battles at all. This is why Israel downed the Russian military transport plane to try to wreck this deal which is huge victory for Syria.

The deal also helps Russia and Syria by Erdogan is giving them a shield to free the rural areas of Latakia Idlib and Homs which they would have to do first any way. The Oct 15 deadline gives the Russians plenty of time to bomb the crap out of the militants. The buffer zone will also be territory Syria won’t have to fight for as the Israeli terrorists will have to pull back and Russia has more time to greatly strengthen Syrian air defenses.

The fact that Israel attacked today in Latakia in a temper tantrum proves this was a good deal to make for Syria. If the militants don’t cooperate, they get hammered anyway. Nothing to lose. A very smart move by Putin again as well as Erdogan. I am sure China is helping financially by helping Turkey out with USSA Israeli sanctions and to get out from under the IMF

You can call me Al

Nice comment, especially that second paragraph of yours. Cheers.

S Melanson

very good comment. Putin is definitely pulling Turkey out of the US orbit (with plenty of help from Trump). the militants will disarm heavy weapons without a fight and Erdogan gets to jointly patrol border areas to add security to Turkey against Kurds. The calling off of the offensive also throws big monkey wrench into Nikki Hately’s big mouth – so Nikki, what you gonna do now that all your pretexts are dissolving before your eyes as Putin stays steps ahead of your diabolical plans?

As for Israel, seems they have turned on Russia – sacrificing the IL-20 for protection while firing missiles at targets close to Russian military bases is a fairly clear message in my opinion. Putin understands this I am sure and will not give Israel a pass this time – what Israel did is like red flag waving in front of the bull… that happens to look a lot like a bear.

You can call me Al

Russia – is about time, that you are in a fully fledged war -> it really is that simple. You cannot trust anybody apart from your allies and maybe China.

peacelover

Very weak response. Legitimate response is to declare delivery of S-300 to Syria instantly.

Rob

Russia lost IL-20 with 14 officers for giving corridor to Israeli jets to attack on Syrian nation. Well done Mr. Putin, sacrifice Russian and Syrian officers on child butchers ‘Israel’. For this attack Israel had done home work to design such an attack on Syria inwhich their SAM shoot down the Russian surveillance airplane. It is similar as Israel had designed Syrian chemical attack, in which the Syrian government lost chemical weapons.

George King

Tragic circumstances? Not! This was an attempt by Israeli AF to stage a false flag by getting the Russians to fire on the French frigate as an attack on a NATO country to activate Article 5’s clause that NATO would respond.

Although President Erdogan and Russian President Putin step back from the brink of WWIII, Israel has tried to pull off what appears to be false flag attempt by flying in over the French frigate and in the immediate vicinity of the IL-20 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces [VKS] that was attempting to land to launch an attack on the location area of Russian bases.

The Israeli pilots used the Russian jet as cover and set it up to be targeted. It almost worked in what appears to be carried out to have the Russians hit the French frigate. Russian initial comments were that missiles had been fired from the French frigate.

Claims have been made from both sides via the PM of Israel and the MOD of the Russian military.

Is this reminiscent of the USS Liberty that was attacked by Israeli AF false flag to bring in the US where US servicemen lost their lives after repeated attacks against the US Intel ship?

Muriel Kuri

Article 5 can only be invoked if the NATO nation has been attacked, not when they are being aggressors. Israel definitely used the IL-20 radar shadow as cover – this is why Shogu was so angry. The plane had been returning from Idlib where it had gained proof of the chemical attacks being set up that had placed Israel’s people on the ground in Idlib. An interview with the parents of one of the kidnapped kids told that they have contact with family members in Idlib – these people told them that Israelis were on the ground working with MI6 and White Helmets to set things up. There’s lots going on behind the scenes that we’re unaware of.

George King

“Russian initial comments were that missiles had been fired from the French frigate”, I repeat this was an attempt to get the Russians to sink the French NATO ship. That would have made it possible for the US with out a congressional declaration of war to respond. The only reason WWIII did not start during this attack is the restraint of the Russian Armed Forces and the short duration of the attack.

Muriel Kuri

Pres. Putin does not ‘react’ – he thinks long and hard before doing any retaliatory acts. This upsets many of us, because all the hatred, propaganda, innuendo, outright lies and demonization of all things Russian really gets to us. We want him to hit back and hit back HARD, right when the offense is committed. His cool headed judgments are probably the only things that have saved the world so far, from another world war – of which there would be no return from. Since he realizes his decisions will affect planet earth and all it’s inhabitants, he acts the way he does. I myself sometimes get very upset with him – when I’ve cooled down and thought over all the ramifications, I realize he has acted correctly. But I still say he should sue for ALL damages caused by the strike – reimbursements should be made for the plane and it’s replacement, the families of men killed and sustenance paid to those families for the rest of the victims for their natural lifetime – completely before letting Israel off the hook. This act of suing, along with all the negative publicity Israel’s been getting all over the world should make them stop and think before doing such an act again.
