On October 25, the strategic nuclear deterrence forces of the Russian Federation launched drills conducted under the leadership of the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, President Vladimir Putin. During the training, Russian forces launched ballistic and cruise missiles.
The launch of the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was carried out from the Plesetsk State test cosmodrome at the Kura test site in Kamchatka.

Another ballistic missile Sineva was launched from the strategic nuclear missile submarine Tula in the Barents Sea.

On October 25, Moscow withdrew the ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). At the beginning of the month, President Putin drew attention to the fact that the agreement was signed by both Moscow and Washington, but the latter did not ratify it.
