Russia’s Tactical Missiles Corporation has tested a newly developed high precision aerial bomb, which is known under the designation 9-A-7759, according to a presentation released by the company.
According to the released presentation, it appears that 9-A-7759 is a precision-guided aerial munition, which has a functional as conventional bombs and missiles. The presentation added that the 9-A-7759 development is at the stage of flight test.
Depending on the modification, the 9-A-7759 weights 500-600kg, its range is 65-120km and its speed is 500/1200 km per hour. The 9-A-7759 can be carried out by Su-34 and MiG-35 jets. The munition is guided with the use of Russia’s GLONASS satellite system.
There were at least 30 flights with the 9-A-7759. During the tests, eight 9-A-7759 aerial bombs were used.
